Instead of giving a flat set of WPs for killing, change the payout to be based on the fitting you killed. For example, I kill someone in a 300k proto suit; instead of giving me just 50 points, give me 50%. I get 150 WPs for that kill because I took down a higher "skilled/fitted" target.
If I kill a starter fit, I don't get as many points because the target was weaker. Maybe a minimum of 20 points.
This allows people to still wear all the proto they want, but it gives an incentive to wear lower tiered fittings because you don't want the other team getting orbitals quickly.
This can apply to vehicles, too.
I appreciate any feedback, and Happy Gaming!!! |

Instead of tieing it to the 'value' of the suit being worn, why not just make it based on the 'tech level' of the suit being worn.
Militia level suits earn you 50 WP Standard earn you 100 WP Advanced earn you 150 WP Prototype suits earn you 200 WP
This sets a basic standard, and requires less work than a sliding scale based on the ISK/AUR value of a dropsuit fitting. It also incentivises players to get the most out of each tech level of suit. With the high CPU/PG skill levels, and reduced CPU/PG of some items based on skill levels, players can usually fit some modules or weapons on a suit that is one or two tiers higher than their dropsuit. Maximizing the use of a cheap suit by being able to use better modules is just another way dust mimics eve.
Now, as far as ISK payouts go at the end of the match, I do think the 'value' of the dropsuit fittings you end up killing should have some impact, but warpoints should just be based on the level of suit. |

I think this is valid. The only reason I say attach WPs to the entire fitting is because of what you said: a merc in a militia suit with complex modules is a harder target than one in 100% militia. I have no idea how hard it would be for the system to factor this in game, though. I'm not a computer programmer.
But your idea would be an easier way to change the rewards.
Thanks for the feedback. |
