The reclaimer would pick up destroyed material from the battlefield, and store them. This material could then be input into nanohives to further power them, taken to supply depots or CRU's.
In the case of further powering nanohives, if a nanohive is emptied is stays on the battlefield for an extra 30 seconds, in which case its capacity reduces to 90% of its original, and can be filled up again. The tool could then be used to overdrive the nanohive; the nanohives stops using its own clusters and starts taking from the tool, along with working at double capacity.
When taken into supply depots it simply gives the player a higher reward. In FW it gives the player 5 - 10 standing for every 200 clusters, with a medium suit being worth 100 clusters, and a tank being worth 1000 or so clusters, and a reclaimer tool holding 250 clusters. In a pub match it gives the player a higher ISK multiplier with 200 clusters adding 0.05/5% multiplier. The player gains 5WP for every 200 clusters dumped.
When taken to a CRU it creates extra clones, with 150 clusters creating a clone. The player gets 50WP for every clone created.
The module would be a high slot module and would simply give the suit a short term overdrive, in different ways. The way it would work is that any 'cluster puddles' passed would be picked up within a 1 or 0.5 meter radius, and used to overdrive the suit. There would be various modules, that would probably need their own department on the market but mainly capacity and speed, speed like shield HP/s rep, shield depleted rep time, armour self rep (would require other self rep module), and for capacity it would increase capacity of energy weapon ammo, or armour (by hardening), or shields by X% (probably 15 at basic).
The cluster puddles are made when a clone is terminated, and the suit starts degenerating itself and clone. It would take 30 seconds to degenerate, for it to then to dissipate by itself at 2 clusters a second, until gone for good.
The tool would be a logi only tool really, so like the cloak, it would have a massive resource use, but logis get a bonus resource use reduction. |

Issue with making it a scout tool is that the cloak is meant to work in combat thanks to its low cloak time. Although if the reclaimer tool did split up into 'overdrive' and 'salvaging' tool, I would be happy for the salvaging tool to be scout mainly.
The overdrive tool would rep at double the speed of a normal rep tool and fill up nanohives but is obviously limited in capacity before needing to reclaim again. Salvaging would have a higher capacity and can only collect and dump into installations. |
