In a earlier build I recall a skill that changed how a DS handled, higher skill made DS's a little easier to fly, but i don't recall which skill. Does anyone remember and does this still apply. ?

That skill no longer exists, what you see is what you get when it comes to drop ships now.

Just got an ADS but l feel lack stability, i can get vipers to float absolutely stationary, the ADS's though I can't hence the question to help fly them.

The incubus is the better stationary Assault Dropship.
I also think the MLT dropships have a built in stabilizer to help out new pilots hints why it's easier to get them to sit still
