In terms of the lore then I love the minmatar. In terms of weapons and suits then I love the Amarr. Lol funny how that worked out.

Caldari. They are probably the most alien thing compared to what exists on Earth.
Amarr: Holy Roman Empire... INNNN SPPAAAACCE.
Gallente: French based cultural democracy, the only one in New Eden.
Minmatar: Tribal society ala Africa and early Americas.
Caldari: Ayn Randy inspired meritocracy with a splash of Samurai ideals of ritualistic suicide, duty, and honor.
The Caldari are the thing that I haven't seen before in other games. Gallente is similar to Earth and the Council in Mass Effect, Minmatar's "trust in the rust" is similar to the Bogrils in Earth and Beyond, and Amarr are basically Space Marines with Bibles. With the exception of the Gallente which I find to have very basic backgrounds ('last democracy'), the races of EVE have incredibly fascinating ideals. I just like the idea of Caldari a little bit more.
Smallest Navy but it's sole principal is "being able to annihilate any other fleet", keeping everything with the best technology to gain the biggest advantage, a set of freedoms and rights that are twisted enough to be really interesting but grounded enough not to be totally unrelatable, and a political system that I just find to be the most interesting overall. |

I did an extensive search on all races before picking mine on Dust 514 since I didn't know anything about the EvE lore. I picked Minmatar because I love the lore, the tech, their culture and most importantly. Their dropsuit reminds me of the Helghast from Killzone.
I'm Minmatar for life.
