I use the Assault Rifle Variations more often than the actual Assault Rifle and in most circumstances I stand my own. Today the GK-13 was used to dispose of shield tankers faster and more accurately. The GB-9 was used to dance around heavies all last month. The GLU-5 is still used to pop asses at a comfortable range, the lazy-boy rifle if you like. The CAR 9 was used today as a medical tool for prying open the brains of one scout and one assault, while the TY-5 had to be fed some Minassaults to be satisfied. The EK-A2 likes to visit every once in a while and flip every victim the most pronounced of birds. I am King of the Variants (self proclaimed seeing as how it's actually a desert island) and I'm loving this island. No one around to cramp my style, secrets I have unlocked while others look at it with confusion. I have spent so much time with the variants of my 3 weapons that I have self awarded awards. But then, a boat of people come to this island saying it has no further purpose; "it should be a strip mall" It serves a purpose my dear Cort+¬s (spanish conquistador reference), it's my playground and I will not have you ripping out the slides and monkeybars (guess which weapon I think of as the slide and which one I think of like the monkey bars). The Breach is okay, Using it to poke holes through the same guy who was trying to Nova Knife me in his Black Eagle Suit. Never really got into the Tactical, even though I was able to slap some rounds through the chest of a Amarr logi. You're not alone on this Island of Disregarded Variations my good Merc! You're either the killer, or the kill-e, to me, there is no in-between.

What we sometimes get is one-weapon-to-rule-them-all or only one is viable for combat. Although it can be applied another way like in Physics/Engineering where a complex problem is broken down and systematically solved component by componet. I was sitting on "Flaylock Isle" and was wondering what that crazy guy was doing. I just kept seeing AR rounds like they were fireworks. Can't say much though. I'm certain he thinks I'm a terrorist, mainly due to all the craters in my firing range. Nothing says "F**K YOU!" like a direct Flaylock to the face. Minmatar. In Rust we trust.

I wasted my Alloteks couple of weeks ago in order to clean up my assets and just couldn't get the feel ot them anymore. Yes, it has nice rpm (used to be nicer) and the burst is... nice. (used to be nicer with bigger burst) But it does nothing that RS-90 wouldn't do better. Which is a damn shame. Yesterday I started using Krins... I still have my Balacs. Do it like they did to vehicles. Drop variants, get the basic stuff out, balance that, then work on reintroducing some variants from a balanced, and more importantly, complete base line. (Preferably reintroduce variants that don't kill the essence of the weapon. An Assault Combat Rifle? What is that all about?) With time, just stay classy and true and with time you'll get in the groove with whatever and if you can stick to the groove you will succeed despite FOTM chasers and all that OP jazz. It's semi-rage inducing to be repeatedly killed by obviously unbalanced superior weaponry, but I feel that it's offset by any kills using the shunned weapons. LOL I admire the HO-scale train reference and I hope that wasn't the vibe I was broadcasting. I only have 3 weapons I use: Assault Rifle, Scrambler Pistol, and Mass Driver. But why just use the standard variant of those weapons when I am granted glorious access to them all? Plus half of them aint even that bad. Breach MD takes some low swinging nuts and practice I will give anyone that, but the others?
