Don't get discouraged with this game. When I first started I knew nothing and I did nothing but die. As you play the game, learn the mechanics, and invest in skills, you will notice your kill/death ratio getting higher and higher with each passing day. I'm not the greatest at this game, but now I know I am not the worst. It's a rough world out there in Dust and it takes a lot of work. Soon, you'll be taking MoFo's out. Hang in there, and don't commit suicide unless you're stuck in a rock, but do it classy and use a grenade. You're gonna lose it anyways so what the hell, right?

#1 noob mistake is not getting to the forums before playing. If noobs actually went to their forums they would have a much better NPE

They would quit the game before starting it in the first place. THese forums are extremely hostile and there's so much QQ you could cut it with a butter knife.

QQ is crying...the two Qs symbolize eyeballs with tears. Aikuchi been around for some time and he knows how badly the complaints and whining can get around here.
But it's good to read that there are new players who understand the proper mindset to succeed in New Eden. You don't hear much about that and people don't talk much about it either
If your post was something akin to "The NPE (new player experience) sucks and CCP needs to get their **** together", your thread would be full of supporters.

LOL it's in reference to the PA system in the Warbarge. We used to sit in a Warbarge while the game loads and players join into the match.
The lady would say over the PA
"The tram system will be closed for routine maintenance. Station management apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused" Boop
"Suicide in public areas are strictly prohibited" Boop
You can still visit the warbarge in FW and PC matches...hardly ever in the public matches though
EDIT: Sorry didn't read your post correctly. You probably have to listen to Tom Jones on repeat.

Also, joining squads makes a huge difference. Working as a team makes you a better player. Talking and interacting with other Dust players is key to success. I still learn a lot from other players, and often get new directions and tips on how to build my character! |

New players. Here are some tips for playing dust 514.
1. DON'T EVER PLAY AMBUSH! It will be one of the worse gaming experiences of your life.
2. Exacly after getting out of the academy, JOIN NYAN SAN! This will probably be one of the best decisions you (as someone who likes to enjoy themselves) can make.
Now you may ask "Why Nyan San? Who are they?" They are infamously known for using exploits to win battles, but after your first match you will see may people do this. A lot of the playerbase has a "Can't bat em, join em," attitude and through joining Nyan San you in fact will just be bypassing the whole beat em part. This game will be much easier to play when you cheat.
Have a blast. And remember, playing fair gives you nothing. o/

One day you'll get every skill to where you need to fit your suit out just the way you like it. Then CCP will change everything about our suit and gear. Then you will just throw your hands up and leave.
