Just like 1.7 things are being nerfed when they shouldn't.If swarms weren't nerfed in 1.7 tanks wouldn't have become such a problem with the buffs, and price drop they received. Now CCP desires to nerf logis in the same fashion. In 1.7 some people say logis are 'OP',in 1.8 logis will be as useful as 1.7 swarm launchers. With all the new suits, buffs and bonuses coming out "OP" logis should be a thing of the past. And limiting eq bonus to a races logi suit destroys the idea of sandbox game play.
Tl;Dr Don't nerf eq or logi suits. Don't force someone to pick a race based on bonuses. I'm ok with the cpu/pg reduction bonus.

Closed Beta vet, Used to run logi, This honestly will force diversity onto the battlefield, you'll see some people who love giving ammo playing caldari Logi, the repping people on minmitar, uplink spammers on the Amarr, and Those recon logi on gallente Im happy they doing this, just means you pick what you do best in and then have the others just not as good. Im a commando so i get the **** end of the stick with equipment cause i no matter what i like using will have to deal with nerfed equips, but im glad logi will be more defined because of their bonus

Closed beta vet, still run logi, always play the logi as support (I'm one of the guys who ran the Rep Tool even when it didn't give any WP)
Single equipment bound skill bonuses will be bad practice. If we had racially defined gear that was not simply a single widget but a pallet of them that would be an asset to diversity and game play, however the same method applied to the current lack of content in the equipment line and bound to specific bits of gear rather than a collected racial sub-type, that is degrading to the sandbox (hampers innovation, player choice and creativity), the meta game (no need for spies etc if all you have to do is look at the bright yellow guy to know what he's running), and the addition of new content (how do you balance for the few skill buffed bits of gear when adding new gear? New gear will either be balanced with the base stats of equipment and thus always underpowered compared to the bits will skill buffs, or it will be as good as the buffed gear even without the benefit of the skills and thus overpowered compared to the base stats...)
CPU and PG are finite, and the new skills already on balance nerf logi CPU and PG (yeah, they say "discount" but that doesn't hold up once you account for the fittings values of the skills being removed) and that's even if the suits were 100% unchanged.
Racial specificity as it's done in EVE is an asset, but EVE has the content in game to allow players options and choice even within those specializations, and also keeps many general hulls ready and flying as well. Dust lacks the content for this to be a valid method in the present game state and exacerbates this problem by lacking the stability for players to make informed choices that stay relevant for even a twelve month span. Player choice, and risk vs reward are the life blood of New Eden but if players can't trust even the in game stats to guide their choices regarding where they want to be in eight months, can't craft unique takes on the roles/frames offered and can't tactically specialize (being "specialized" by a restrictive skill buff is not the same as building a fit which synergies with your squad mates and your teams tactical choices), then players cannot realistically/reliably partake of the sandbox or the risk vs reward dynamic and without those central elements Dust pales a very great degree indeed.

Why not?
Logis don't need 3 equipment slots and more module slots that Assaults.
They don't really need a great deal more CPU or PG which is open to exploitation.
Why not reskill them so their bonuses are directed at fitting higher tier support gear?
Why do logisitics suits need Grenades?
Logistics aren't combat fits they are support units first and foremost.
No more One Logi Armies! Down with the Combat Logi!

So essentially what you want is a defenseless sub-par mobile supply depot that can rep you... You don't even know what logistics is do you? It's grunt work, heavy lifting and moving of supplies. And here you arrogantly say assaults should be better at it...
