Right now, when you are scanned, the text "You have been scanned" floats at the top of your screen for a while. In many games the text never leaves your screen. I think we can improve scan detection.
Instead of a text notification, I think we should have an audible indicator. A soft, non-annoying sound could be used instead to let you know when you have been scanned. The sound would also be location sensitive, so you would faintly be able to 'hear' which direction you were scanned from.
Of course, the different Tiers of scanners would be more or less difficult to hear.
A Militia scanner for example would be easy to hear, and you can clearly hear what direction the scan came from.
The Prototype scanner would either have a very faint sound (and from no particular direction), or be totally silent.
Who cares what some sniper has to say

Well I don't think the text should be removed. Those times when it is constantly up means that they are spamming the scanner. But I like the idea of giving a vague direction as to where you were scanned. After all the scan has a source and it is a signal.

With a corp with some Deaf members, the text needs to stay.
This in mind, I'd like to see a sound wave for our Deaf member so they visually see the sounds they can't hear.
Forge Changes needed Officer Splash 3.0, Proto 2.7 Advanced 2.5 Standard 2.1.
Original ROF needs to return!
