Buff dampeners Get rid of "No margin of error" Get rid of "Some margin of error" Get rid of "You have been scanned" Keep "Scan attempt prevented"- because you deserved that valuable piece of information

Some margin of error has already been removed. It just says "No margin for error" regardless if you successfully scanned everyone or not, I have died to many a scout that way. So really you can just removed that message entirely as it makes no difference. The message "You have been scanned" should be kept though, as it is the down side to using active scanning vs passive scanning. Ex: You are approaching a seemingly empty enemy objective. There could be unseen enemies there that you could detect with your active scanner but then they know there is an enemy within 100 meters and will be on alert for you. Or if you are a passive scan fit Caldari suit that can passive scan out to 74 meters at 32.7 dB, now you see them but they have no idea you are near. |

Really good point sir. Granted, scanned enemies do deserve some tell sign but not the way it is right now, not that invasive text that is currently in place. Why not highlight your marker on your HUD when you get scanned ; make people pay attention to their radar instead of what's directly in front of them if they really want it. I just feel the need for people to figure things out themselves, instead of those annoying tooltips. Yes I'm pointing my finger at those people that need the system to tell them to press o to crouch on those other fps'

I'm half and half on this due to the circulating uncertainty on cloaks . Once we have a firm grasp on cloak mechanics, namely if it's also an active dampener, I'll be able to gauge my stance better.

          Damps are fine.
The 'no margin of error' is fine.
The 'some margin of error' message should only appear if the scan profile of the merc is between 0% and 15% lower than the precision of the scanner.
The 'you have been scanned' message should only appear if the profile of the merc is between 0% and 25% higher than the precision of the scanner.
The 'scan attempt prevented' message should always appear.
 We want cake and tea.
