I'm begging you. When 1.8 hit lock the light weapon on Heavy Frame.
As a Heavy, i hate Heavy+AR combo.
Lock it, before a rain of QQ come and people start asking MASSIVE nerf on the suit. That will only penalize who use the suit in right mode.
Please save us from the nerf hammer. We have been hit SOOOOOO MANY TIMES.

But the Rail Rifle is a real problem. Greater range and DPS than an actual heavy weapon?
I'm with you sir, but the suit isn't the problem its the weapon.

No the real problem lies elsewhere:
In PC a heavy with AR is dead meat. His huge hitbox and the multi stacked dmg mod make the difference.
The problem are PUBS, and how most of the NERF come from a pub-vision. I simply don't want my suit getting nerfed 'cause cod boys try hard need LOTS of HP.
And with resistance the heavy class get will be a problem.
Rail,Combat, or G.AR it's the same.

If there were more heavy weapons I'd agree but no. right now it would seriously **** heavies over as we would get raped by medium/ long range weapons
The problem is the weapon itself.....not the heavy suit
Real heavies use lasers

Weapon are coming, and no one of us truly heavy equip an AR on a heavy suit.
simply 'cause if you are a Heavy and you're caught in the open you deserve to die.

Thats why im a Heavy/Commando, Cause my TRUE BLOODED HEAVY SHALL NOT BE TARNISHED BY A DAMN LIGHT WEAPON JUST LIKE MY COMMANDO CANNOT WEILD A HEAVY WEAPON, if a ****** wants to use a light weapon, get a damn commando. boom done. end of story. I really hate Sentinels with Light weapons -.- as easy as they are to kill, it pisses me off cause they just talk **** about us commandos, yet i get right in their hybrid asses face and beat them to death or just shotgun them, or MD them. or plasma. or any 2 light weapons i want. Commando is the heavy meant to have the light weapons.

no. this would limit my ability to enrage people who are offended by heavies wielding light weapons.

Since we are still missing at least 2 Heavy weapons, right now the only choice for the Heavy Amarr fighting mid-range battles is to equip something like AR/RR/CR/ScR, all Light weapons: the Forge Gun is basically an AV weapon, while the HMG is meant only for CQC and tight spaces.
We were speculating about new Heavy weapons here: More Heavy Weapons !!!
In the end, I'd say to remove "L" weapons from Heavy/Sentinels once all Heavy weapons are released and, hopefully, we have at least one weapon for each situation.

As far as we know CCP claim that sentinels are for point defense.
So a Med/Long range AI weapon may not come.
The Huge HP of heavy defeat the cons of weapon like rail rifle. In cqc you Spray and pray, but when you have so mach HP that pray doesn't matter......

a heavy with a cbr is ust as deadly. just at a slightly less range.
give them more variety of weapons, then take the light weapons away from heavies.

again TTL and suit speed are the issue not light weapons on a heavy, that should be a massive down side to the heavy not a buff, but since you can't out maneuver a heavy fast enough to not get your ass handed to you its a broken mechanic. |
