 I was going to post up a thread suggesting we make our own tournament New Eden Open style but then I realized we didn't have spectator mode... So. Yeah. When are we getting spectator mode? I mean we should at least be able to spectate on corporate contracts and special contracts.

I have been suggesting this every chance i get to CCP :3
A spectator mode was present in the fanfest build before closed beta, but that is not enabled in the live client

That would not be a good idea, their servers are struggling now and you want to allow spectators. NO !

Dust2037 is slated for a 2038 release, early reports suggest date will be pushed back to "not never"

Meta game would destroy this.
What you want is a battle recorder to relive the battle.
Also believe it or not eve tournaments have camera men, they're the ones in the hyper rare (as in nobody owns one) luxury cruisers, which is the same model as the super rare Opus Yact ( only 2 capsuleer owned in the galaxy to date)

A 15 to 20 second delay would be fine for a live stream, so to speak, but being able to do it in real time is the only way we will be able to use it as a film tool to actually make DUST look good.
