The first time I saw this pic and the video of the Amarr medium visor opening/closing I thought the same - we should have the option to open and close it in the warbarge/MQ.

CCP may struggle with bonuses for the Amarr (looking at you Amarr scout and future Amarr assault) but they really hit the nail on the head for aesthetics.
Yeah Amarr aesthetic is PERFECT. They REALLY look like badasses soldiers Battleskirt heavy armor everywhere badass helmet AND a damn backpack !
Minmatarr is also PERFECT : External exoskeleton. One eye (badaaaassss). Backpack. (Back packs really make a soldier looks like a...soldier.) grenades at the legs.
Caldari is really cool too : Light armor plates. Cyborg head.
But the gallente are failed...... I mean look at them....NOTHING make them soldiers expt their googles. NO armor No suit No backpack. No exoskeleton.. They're looking like some freaking SM...... In scout it's okay but in the others......
Come on give them some armor plates or backpack i dunno .... |

No, little, thats why they have them surgically transplanted, so when their minmitar handlers pat them on their head and tell them "good job".

I really like the look of the Amarr... Well, anything. Even Amarr Ships in EVE, are pretty fantastic, almost all of then (I think the Tormentor is missing it, but I might be wrong) having religious markings and gold/white plating covering the ship. As for infantry gear, I still love Amarr stuff. The Laser Rifle in particular seemed like a weapon that was formed from their religion, having series of marks and designs covering the machine. Of course, it's shaped like a phallus, so...
As for the other races, I like them, but the Gallente are too symmetrical. Dunno how many of us here have played EVE, and I've only recently gotten very involved in it, but almost none of the Gallente ships are completely right. I think some of the medium ships (Algos, Vexor, Myrmidon) might be the only symmetrical ones (And then the Dominix). Pictures below for reference:
Atron Helios Thorax
You get the idea. Make the Gallente Infantry gear look more like Gallente gear. >:|
But because this is an Amarr thread, let me give you guys some nice stuff to look at.
Executioner (My favorite frigate, possibly favorite ship...) Revelation Armageddon
There are plenty others, but those in particular come to mind.

Also, I might be the only one that sees it, but in a certain area of Amarr space, if you point the camera directly up, it's all white and bright and stuff, and if you point it down, it's all black and whatnot. You can also sort of make out a godly figure in the clouds.
Of course, I was sleep-deprived and had been searching for a wormhole for the past hour or so, so I might've been losing my mind.

Too much bulk and shiny metal on Amarri dropsuits. Good from my perspective as it makes them better targets, but not something you'd catch me wearing.

True, not ALL aspects.
Unlike the other weapons, if your Combat Rifle or SMG breaks, you can get a new part off of just stuff lying around the battlefield. The parts, while they aren't too durable, are the most common. Minmatar equipment quickly becomes the most economical equipment.
But yea, the Minmatar kind of got hit with the bad part of the deal, in terms of location and materials on hand. :P

Yeah, even before I knew anything about the lore and whatnot, I immediately said no to the minmatar suits because they're just fugly.
Now, my Templar LR, on the other hand, is a thing of beauty. Could look at it all day. (Now if only it worked as good as it looks.... *glares at CCP remnant*)

What are you saying? What would be the point of being boring ol Gallente Freedom Junkies. They are potentially the least interesting racial ground ever.
However the Amarr have a great aesthetic and plot line to them worth fighting for and defending.
Oh and my EVE toon has 30000 slaves back on Amarr......you know any of them?
