Pardon me if this has been suggested before.
I was thinking that instead of accumulating a certain amount of war points before getting booted out of the academy, new players could be required to meet specific skill criteria before being considered ready to head out into the full game.
Starting with something like leveling up their core skills like PG and CPU to level 3. This could be expanded to include other skills either shield or armor level 3 (one or the other). In addition to a level 3 dropsuit, weapon and some type of equipment. This way they will join the rest of the players with at least the minimum skills and fits needed in the full game.
Thoughts?

I'd rather see starting SP done like in chrome where there's a Heavy oriented, Med and Light oriented thing going on as well as 4 other suits... like the Sentinel, Enforcer, and Arbiter and something else...
as well as a 50k WP to fully graduate and 20k to get the option of normal pubs...

I'd like to see the certification system from EVE added, then give players a choice of role to "graduate with", purely player choice here, and once they meet the first tier requirements for their chosen "field" they graduate.
Regardless of the specific method the academy, the recruiting system, the entire NPE needs more love.

I have two lowbie alts that are under the 10k WP benchmark, but both are no longer able to queue for the battle academy. They both have a little more than one million in SP. Anyone know the actual requirements to leave the battle academy?
