Equipping the weapons on any other suit (basic medium, heavy, light, Sentinel, Commando, Logi, Scout) won't give you the bonus (although the appropriate racial Commando will give you a nice damage bonus). Also note that this means if you are skilled to Assault 5 you will get the full 10% bonus on the standard Assault suit, not just the prototype. The RoF is hard to fully utilize on the CR so the boost might be harder to use than on, say, the RR or AR. The ACR would probably kick more due to the higher RoF. Might be balanced, might not.
