Did a couple matches tonight. There was a squad of 6 guys on the other side each game. Each time, I was playing the same team with the same people. The randoms on their side also ended up on their team multiple times. I have had it happen before. Several months back, I played late at night like 10 matches. Each game had exactly the same people in it.
Why is it that the matchmaking is never randomized? In other games, I might run into the same people over and over but I might be on their team one game and the next not. It seems as if there is no randomization that happens. Anyone else notice this?

Why do people tag their names at the end of messages when their name is right there?
Is there some sort of trend or fad that it's the cool thing to do?

Right, I understand that. I know that the player base is not that huge but it still doesn't make sense that the teams wouldn't be randomized in anyway. If there are 22 randoms between two teams and you get put into the same group of people, you would expect that the teams wouldn't be a mirror from last game. It just seems as once you are put against a team, you won't be put on that side one way or another. It has been going on for as long as I have been playing DUST.
The reason why I tag my name is because, for some reason, I have done it for the longest time. E-mails, forums, letters, everything. Why does everyone else do it? I dunno, ask them if seeing someone's name in the post offends your senses. |

Its because dust has a small player pool to draw from because this game is so harsh for new players that 90% of people who try the game quit shortly after graduating the academy.
For whatever reason CCP thinks 1500WP is enough to know the game and throws new players who don't know how to properly skill into roles and throws them to wolves (20+million SP players)

Right. I know this. However, why is it that you will literally have the same people against you and have the same team 5 games in a row? Allow me to make an analogy:
You have a bag of dice. 32 dice. There are 2 sets of dice duct taped together with 3 each and 4 sets of dice glued together with 2 each (2 squad of 3, 4 squads of 2). That means there are 18 solo dice that can be mixed and matched. Obviously with those 32 dice, every time you pull out a 16 between two different people, you are going to run into the same numbers over and over. That makes sense. However, that isn't what is happening. What seems to be happening is that the dice are not being put back in the bag between each group (match) and are instead carrying over to the next group (match) instead of having a new randomized group next match.
With 32 people, the odds of running into the exact same teams (IE, numbers 1-16 on my team, 17-32 on the enemy team) multiple times in a row is still unlikely. However, it seems to happen all the time. Saying it is because there is a small group still doesn't explain why the same team composition will exist between games. Yes, the people would be the same but the composition should be randomized. |

when you exit a game, everyone who was in that last game with you are back into the que with you, but everyone else is still in their games...
so what happens is that the majority of the plays in que for that 20-30 seconds are the ones that were just in the game that finished becuase everyone else is still in other games.
so most of your new game will be players from the last one with a few new people mixed in. |

Tequila and Vodka are master drinks. Many fine women have arrived at either the back seat of my sportscar or my bed thanks to those master drinks.
Can Mountain Dew do the same??
When doing business and responding to a message the really cool thing to do is send a gift of a bottle of vodka or tequila via DHL, Fedex or some other next day service.
Much better than an email. I.e. a cedar box sent via DHL containing a tequila bottle and a business card with a short message like:
Director visiting in 24 hours Those turbines better be ready.
