Anybody else feel like the Militia AR is more accurate than the Duvolle or even GEK AR?
I just came from several games of using the MAR and was averaging 8+ headshot kills a game, I barely get 1 a game with the GEK. I was hip firing half the time but it still worked. Is this phenomenon damage related? Possibly a side effect from using damage mods? Does the MAR have more aim assist?
Has anybody else experienced this?
My alts: General John Ripper, Draxus Prime, MoonEagle A, Anarchide, Long Evity

No idea, but I get far more head shots with the Laser rifle than any other gun, its like 1 out of every 3 kills is a head shot with that thing. |

I use a GEK. Accurate and awesome stopping power, MAR more accurate cause of less stopping power makes up in aim, and the GEK and DAR have higher RPM speed than MAR I think so more power vs accuracy I guess.

I often get random headshots out of nowhere.
I aim for the torso, squeeze the trigger and somehow I have a headshot.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

The AR's get more kick as you progress through the tiers. So level 5 operation with militia AR has more pinpoint accuracy compared to Duvolle. GEK has the 'sweetspot' IMO. |

Maybe the worse accuracy means more bullet spread and so more ranonm headshots.

iirc ppl were mostly running MLT AR at one point due to this stat, possibly auto aim made it become a somewhat redundant complaint

Most weapons are like this and it's been the same for quite some time. I imagine the theory is as a user becomes more proficient in a particular weapon type they're better able to counter the negatives (more kick) while benefiting from the positives (more damage, accuracy, etc).
For ages the Exile AR was more common than any other AR - more bullets than MLT, the recoil increase was almost non-existent, it's free, and 1 damage mod made it more powerful than a Duvolle. This is also the reason GEK's have always been more common than Duvolles.
As someone said, with AA being essentially autoheadshot mode, the difference in kick no longer matters, so the only factor is price, which for many is a non-factor these days. |
