His eyes open slowly from sleep. He's alone and naked under the covers. She's gone already, Back to Caldari Prime, back to her life outside of what they have. Slowly he lets one leg down from the bunk and moves over to his living area. The place a small wreck and a smile still on his face. At that very moment the sound of a particle cannon blast just before impact. His eyes shift upwards and to the right. The entire compartment shakes violently, bottles and magazine clips rattling from the coffee table.
As his feet shuffle sideways catching his balance he screams at Aura, the compounds AI "Call Kujo!" simotaneously grabbing his pants and ripping them on. "No response" is her answer. "Call Kujo!" he yells again sliding an arm into his vest. "No response" She says again. "Automated piece of ****" He mutters reaching for a boot. "Call Phoenix" he asks. The audio call starts broadcasting through the holoscreen. "Squagga, we're on full red alert. I am issuing an immediate evac of the compound. Get off the planet. NOW!" "What happened to the defense system?" Squagga asks. "The corporations funds have been completely depleted. The TacNet has been shut down. We are completely vulnerable here. Get off Bosena and meet at the rondevoux point as soon as you can collect your squad." "Depleted?" He rhetorically asks softly.
Shutting down the comms system with a click of his wrist holo he slides on the second boot. "Feels like sunday mornin." He mutters pressing on the holo band on his wrist to activate another call. "Gem. There are three flowers in the vase. One of the flowers is yellow." He says "Got it" The sniper replies. Closing the call with a click of the holo band he twists the dial and selects five contacts sending out a mass voice message. "Meet at drop pad Bravo 4. This is not a drill." Clicking the application closed he removes a clip from one of the holsters on his chest and replaces it with a cigar.
Running down a causeway the entire place shaking with Titan like force steadying footsteps to accomodate. His extra sense kicks in to save his life once more. Immediately stopping and leaning a shoulder into a bulkhead, hands occupied. One holding the rail rifle the other his helmet. He immediately jumps backwards twice just as the causeway collapses in front of him. With a scowl he swings around and doublebacks to a parrallel causeway. Running up to the drop pad N'Rante arriving at the same time. Moving as fast as he could for a big boy, toting the forge gun along with him. Under any circumstances it was heavy, it was however that N'Rante would never leave home without it. "Looks like we really pissed em off this time, didn't we?" The rest of the team already there, McKensie lowering the Grimses down above them, air and veldspar kicking up around them.
It was obvious that Palace, one of his oldest and most trusted friends, had sheparded Lumps, Fundies and Shilzy to the drop pad. Mostly for the sake of Lumps, Squaggas younger brother. A fighter until the end, however still lacking the complexities of battle that the rest have already endured thousands of times over. Most times humble. Not in this situation. This is Bosena, this is the planet they have called home. Using it as their head quarters during this war.
Fundies stood there on alert a flaylock in each hand. Palace looked over to him, ready and waiting for which event was to come next. Shilzy a hand on her shotgun, the other on her Minmitar comic books. Lumps as always imitating his brother, rifle in one hand, helmet in the other. "What happened!? Where are we going?" He asks. "We're gettin off planet on the double" Is Squagga's reply. "Why don't we fight? Why don't we defend!?!" Lumps screams. As that questions comes out the sceaming sound of incoming accelerated particale cannon fire tears through the air and drop pad Bravo 5 not fifteen meters to their right erupts into fire. "We can't win this, not even us" Squagga replies shoving Lumps into the Grimses. The others hopping in. Squagga's eyes turn to the left to drop pad Bravo 3. Punisher helping his wives into Goose's Incubus class assault dropship. Punisher's dark eyes under his dark hair and pale complexion. They look at eachother a moment through the burning air fiery debri from the compound falling down around them. They both leap into respective dropships.
Sailing through the air bomb blasts all around them. Not a single worry from any of the passengers. McKensie Pointon. The best dropship pilot the cluster may ever see, expertly piloting through all of it. Stopping on a dime and requordinating moving to the docking bay in the next district. An alert comes over the holoband and Squagga taps the reticle. "What's your status Gem?" "We may have a problem here brother. The bay doors wont open. May have to find another way off planet." "Well .. just .." Squaggas mind races quickly "Just blast your way through with the ion cannons. That's what I bought em for!" Caldari weapons traditionally have a charge up time before unleashing a devastating amount of power. Tearing through anything in their path. The problem with this technology is that aiming has to be spot on. Or you just wasted your shot. This was not however a problem in this instance. The hum of the guns power up blowing an opening out of the ships bay. Not entirely enough for the ship but enough for Gem to ram his way out. Steel screaching alongside the Drake class battle cruiser. One that Squagga had specifically modified to hold a dropship for planetary insurgencies. The Drake tore out of its holding and into the air, sparks jutting out alongside it. Like a dragon firing off into the sky.
McKensie backed the Grimses into the opening doors of the Drake's holding compartment. Once the entire family was together and ready Gem lifted them off into orbit. Headed towards the second closest warp gate.Drawing the cigar out of his clip holster Squagga bit off the end and striked up match |

Thank you. A bit unsure of myself intially lol. I do have a few more I plan on sharing with you guys. Most of them based on actual events. I have to admit I have been truely inspired to put these stories into actual words because of the rest of the community and their very inspiring and gripping stories. Especially my friend Denak. Really great job. I also would like to put a shout out to Dust Fiend. Great stories and really cool videos! See you in the skies Fiend |

See you in the skies Fiend Squagga, buddy, I didn't know you had a writer in you, great job in writing! Although if you want to improve the story a little, the sentence structures are a little off at time, and adding a little more colons instead of periods would make it more readable.
And honestly said, I don't really write that many stories, moreso than I write first person ponderings and spoof reports, I just really like doing those(I think I might write up a more classic story, already got an idea in mind...). But thanks for the compliment! I'll be looking forward to reading more from you!
