Gall enter tech is meant to be close range, right?
So make it do a ton of dmg within a certain distance and as the ball starts to dissipate, so does the dmg. This way, you can crank up the dmg, without making it OP.
What do you guys think? I only propose this so we can get balance on this wonderful, if not useless piece of Gallente tech.

Even if it's buffed a ton, the current range will never be the source of being OP.
The only way it can hit someone at long range is out of a combination of luck and the stupidity of the person you're shooting at- you can see it coming and sidestep it 5 seconds before it hits.

It does have an effective range. It's just not hard-coded. What changes would this "nerf" help you balance?

I mean, what improvements are you proposing for the plasma cannon to make up for limiting its range? It's nowhere near overpowered right now, even in the best hands.

The biggest issues with the Cannon are the bugs. Failing to load, failing to fire, failing to explode, failing to do direct damage.
When CCP fixes that then we can talk.

I would rather the weapon have high dmg at all ranges, but what we want and what's balanced are two different things.
