Base scan range is going up to 20 though. Gallente scouts actually gain a meter or two on their scan range.
1.8 can't get here soon enough.

You also can't forget the built in 3 repair, in addition to the dampen racial means that you can save your low slots, meaning seeing 600-700 ehp gal scouts will be a lot more common

old: gal scout 5 = 24m scan ranger
new: gal scout 5 = 25m scan range
everything below gal scout 4 was below 20m passive the new base is 20m passive, this bonus is better.

Don't forget the extra low slot on basic and advanced suits. You have room to fit a range amplifier without changing your current loadout. Sounds like a huge buff too me... >.> |

20 x 1.5 = 25
but what about 25 x dampener bonus whatever it might be.
If its the old bonus then its 20 x 1.25 = 25 x 1.5 = 37.5
If its a new bonus of lets say 25% then 25 x 1.25= 31.25 it gets better and better :> |

My suit is getting stronger with their larger scan radius and repair. Oh, yeah, and being damped passively, EXCLUSIVELY, is pretty cool, too.
All I concerned about is the Minmatar hacking bonus. That's a great bonus, but doesn't really suit them. I thought their thing was guerilla tactics, so shouldn't they get kincat bonus or something? |

Yes, but it also helps keep me off of other peoples passive scanners and to disappear quicker.
I use a range amp and PD and I think my range is around 40-45 meters and my scan profile is 23 db irrc.
It's pretty creepy that I like seeming people and not being seen...

I think hacking would fall under the catagory of "saboteur" which is a gorilla tactic. At least that is my view, it's the information age hackers are the new gorillas.

Pre change:
Scan Range when level 5 = 24m
Scan profile when level 5 = 33.75 dB
Post Change:
Scan Range when level 5 = 25
Scan profile when level 5 = 26.25
+ an extra equipment slot, 5% bonus to hacking speed, CPU/PG Buff, nearly doubled stamina regen rate, Innate 3hp/s armour repair, another module slot at all levels and better slot layouts.
Even if I wasn't happy with the bonus, it doesn't really matter compared to everything else we'll be getting.
We want cake and tea.

You want to talk about some gorilla tactics just wait until equpment becomes hackable, and every red equipment a Min scout touches almost instantly turns blue. Ouch.
Man I hope this comes in 1.8. It'll bring an entire other level of strategy to the game. No more just spamming/tossing equipment everywhere/anywhere and not making sure I stays guarded. When one Minja can infiltrate behind enemy lines and turn a pile of red uplinks into his enemy's worst nightmare.
