The PLC sucks, face it, while it might be hilarious, it's hilariously bad at it's job (AV people.). Now I'm of the belief that Light AV should be most effective against Light Vehicles, it should still do damage to HAVs but shouldn't be the weapon you'd pick over a forge for example.
Now, the PLC is a charge up, single shot weapon and it's so ******* slow, the exact opposite of what I feel Light AV should be. So rather than a single shot, why not give it a clip and then increase the RoF and projectile speed, it should have more of a pop pop pop over a pop......... pop.... feeling.
Not only this, but add a charge up secondary to it. The Charge shot will use more ammo depending on how long you charge it for, with the max charge firing the entire clip but doing significant damage. This would give it a good advantage to ambushing vehicles.
So in short, add clip, buff RoF and projectile speed, make the charge shot a secondary fire option that uses more ammo and does more damage. Tweak overall damage to be more inline with other AV (Because fast fire with the damage it does now would be silly.)

I'm of the opinion Swarms should be dumbfire again with lock on as secondary. So killing Infantry is not far from my thoughts :P

My problem with your Light AV only for Light vehicles thing is....so if you aren't skilled in Sentinel suits or aren't skilled into HAVs yourself, then tanks are just supposed to be able to run amok across the battlefield?

"developed for use in urban operations and confined space combat" does not scream AV to me. It does need some tweaks, paramount among those being improved hit detection (as projectile ghosting is STILL a problem) and more consistent splash application, but trying to pop LAVs in open areas is futile business. Catch them in bottlenecks and they're screwed, though. Same with infantry.

2: PLC isn't just AV, actually it's more of a AI weapon really, like a 1 shot MD.
3: No. that would make it into a MD, only far more powerful. instead, it should get 2 shots, damage and splash stays the same, projectile speed raised up slightly (and imo the projectile drop should become flatter), and then it should get a direct hit only burn affect. Oh, and 5 extra mags.
