I know it's been asked but is the depleted shield recharge delay true? The 1 second may not be a big deal in cqc with fluxes, but what about when they snipe? If a Cal Sentinel stack damage mods and rechargers on it's high slots it will be nearly impossible to kill without a vehicle if it stays in the redline. It pops out, does it's thing, get shot once or twice falls back, waits 15 seconds. With the added fitting reduction of Thales and specialist sniper rifles this could easily be achieved.
Where is my Gallente sidearm?

You people really have something against shields with this much QQ over shields they will always be under powdered comparde to armor... Also please show me a heavy that just ******* stands out in the open to get snipped!? |

A 1 second delay is a bit short don't you think? With 4 complex damage mods it will OHK anyone with a Thale and remain almost invincible. You've never counter sniped before have you?

You've never counter sniped before have you? This. The only thing preventing heavy sniping from being commonplace is the lack of damage mods on Amarr sentinels and heavies. But with 4 CDMs, a shitton of quickly-regenerating buffer, and a Thales, a well placed Ck.0 Sentinel will be able to completely destroy an enemy squad with little to no counter. The only real counter would be an Assault Dropship if he's up high or in the redline. So yeah, it'd be a bit of an issue.

There is often a disparity between how things seem on paper and how things are in action. Whether or not that is the case here remains to be seen.
As for the specific situation described in the OP... well, that is more the fault of the redline, which has a myriad of threads that bring up the many issues surrounding it. The redline is the crux of the problem in the situation described, not the Caldari Sentinels shield delays. |

Further, how would this be any different than a proto logi with 4 plates and 4 damage mods sitting on armor repping hives currently? |
