It does not matter if I play instant battle or FW.
I experience lags. Bad ones.
I run around stay somewhere and *snap* I am ported some meters back or forth.
I am the only one? Maybe my PS3 is "broken"...
I don't want to reinstall Dust514. Had someone also lags and can confirm that reinstall helped him?
By the way if that helps it should not be the solution... |

Have you considered a database reconstruction? I've had some success reducing lag issues doing this, though I'm unsure if it would work for you.

And now for something completely different, a simple answer to the OP's question.
Since the hotfix for equipment spam lag I have been experiencing more lag but at a less distracting level.
I have seldom seen the sort of transport event that you described, it is more like occassionally bad
frame rate. |

I think it might have something to do with psn. The past week and a half have been laggy on a lot of games. Its not just my connection cuz all my friends and co workers have been having the same problem. Definitely been a pain in the rump. Keeps getting me killed. |

I also noticed my HULU app keeps failing and requiring me to retry loading videos. For no apparent reason. So PSN may be having issues but the rubberbanding OP is describing has been going on for a while. I've fallen off so many platforms trying to get to the edge.

Ur not the only 1. Though occasionally it can happen. This was my experience;

This should improve your gameplay.
1) Use a cable.
2) Put your PS3 on a static IP
3) Try to port forward the game.
If your ping is too high then find out why and try to lower it.

Backend communication needs TCP 443 and 80.
Battle server communications needs UDP 20000-21000.
Voice communication needs UDP 12000-13000.
