using Nova Knives KDR actually risen?
me personally my KDR has been skyrocketing, and I'm getting very close to a 2 KDR. my weekly KDR is always above a 3.50 and since i picked the knives back up, it's gotten even higher.
i know that guy Radar something (i forgot the last part) got like 400 nova knife kills the first day, but from the few times I've played against him, he truly is a great player, so I'm not surprised.
any other scouts seeing an increase in their KDR ever since the event started?

This is my first time trying the knives and the learning curve is a bit steep, but I'm enjoying myself none the less. Grouped with Radar last night, and indeed he is a beast with the Nova Knives. |

I have enjoyed my short time with the scout so far.
I need to skill into nova knives because I'm having issues with actually dealing enough damage to finish off targets, but having a blast regardless.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

I went with advanced knives and a couple swipes usually finishes off most suits. I should note that I use one complex damage mod with the advanced knives. |

I'm pretty great with knives. I wouldn't say as good as some of the people here, but as long as I'm not seen, I can OHK any medium suit. ;)
Yesterday I saw a Valor Scout running around with knives, and I was like "lolwut" and 2-shotted him with a pistol. I was mostly confused because I had never seen a Valor Scout in action before.
But yea, since I started using Knife Scouts in... October? September? My K/D has risen by A LOT. Mostly because I play Scouts in a way where no one can see me. Therefore, I don't die...
I'm sort of glad the event was on the 15th though. Because on the 13th, I got WRECKED by everything. It was honestly the most balanced match I ever played. Everyone dies equally terribly! I think I went something like 21/17, someone on the other team went 4/21, and someone on my team went 0/17.
And then my squadmate went 21/5 because she likes to show off. >:|

new scout started last week. i played my first mtch of the new event and got two kills with my basic knives =) only cost me 9 deaths at 8.1k isk each. |

If you get trained with basic knives, once you upgrade to ZNs, everything will feel like cake.
Scouts don't let scouts accept more nerfs. Just say no to needless scout suit sacrifice.

mostly due to attacking hav's until I destroy them
as for knifing im doing pretty good around 5-10 kills with them a game

This is quite enlightening, the scouts are actually out in force and given what iv've seen I don't think the scouts are lacking in anyway.
So they're actually quite a viable use when in dedicated hunter mode lol.

I gotta say this event has also been eye opening for me. I was doing some crazy S kill streaks with just the knife on city maps. I'd hate to say it but scout does not seem so UP anymore.
To tell the truth now I am afraid of cloaks making scout OP and turning it into a FOTM circus.
I will say this though - NK highly situational, I used to play solo ambush and had my S handed to me every game. Now to get all that free stuff I've been playing skirm and I find that scout is very effective at dealing with enemy that do tend to spread out quite a bit over those large maps with multiple objectives.

I actually got killed by a NK for the 4th time since I started playing back in February!
And, I NKed about 16 or so. I stink at it, but I have a cheap fitting, so I am getting stuff. However, I do not find knifing any more fun than anything else.
I got my hand around the pistol grip, and the safety's off.

My KDR is staying even, like it always does. Every few matches I'm charging in rambo style and feeding scout kills to gunners.

I guess it depends on whether or not you are soloing or taking squad leader orders I find the later substantially nets me a lower KDR when using Nova Knives.

It's been mixed. Some games I do great with a positive KDR and some I do bad. But it's been great so far. I think because I've gotten better with knifing, being sneaky and just in general observing people to see who is paying attention and who isn't. See red and blue fighting, running around and slash the red in the side or back.

I haven't really been playing for this event, have probably 20-30 Knife kills from five matches, and I have been getting an average of probably around 1-2 deaths per match, through just being stupid mostly though, and thinking I can take on Proto Heavies head on.

Hey I went 5/10 yesterday. Of those 5 kills maybe 2 were from knifing...

Had it in my head that the event was next week. Was wondering why a scout tried nova-ing my 1,200EHP heavy suit the other day...poor guy, may he rest in peace.
That said, I've never used knives on any of my builds, and prefer to just use my shotgun to OHK most enemies when I play as a scout. I also find it odd that scouts have such low melee damage bases compared to the other classes; a scout with a nova should be a guaranteed OHK on ANY frame if they can catch them from behind.
Life is killing me.
