Mine is pretty close to your's, actually, especially the part about mass dogfights.
Good to see you still around and posting, by the way. I still remember playing with you back in the old days when you'd run into rooms and fire the Swarm Launcher at your feet.

I will do :D
trade is one the best ways to get the game off the ground i know everyone like to FPS or all the time we add in trade with other dust players and then latter eve players and may be a free market like eve your where going to see the game fill up with alot of new players who other wise may have never join dust 514 all because you add in trading and a market where THE PLAYER SELL AT THERE PRICES . and latter even build stuff .

Eve can go **** itself. Until CCP gives ground forces the ability to engage/defend against EVE pilots in warfare, there should be absolutely no connection. Right now its a one way shooting gallery for a bunch of tittysuckin computer nerds. The only reason there is a connection is because CCP knew that Dust was such a **** game the only way it would get any press was to link it to another platform with their brokeass mechanics. The reviewers scores reflect that success 2/5 FTW. |

im going to hate to say this but Some of that you say may be true but as for the rest of it im going to dump it in the trash.
yes CCP may be draging there feet but this is a new thing for them and its a 1st of its kind that im glad someone like CCP NOT EA is making . as for Eve i dont see the big deal you need to make friends in eve to help you if you want to PC or fac war. and they could if they where friends blow up the guys shooting at you on the ground.
as for the doomsday on the ground yes i do feel that will be needed but not now i would not want to brag about killing a Noob ship with a DD

Why should end game content Dust side (PC), which has absolutely no relevance to EVE, be so contingent on EvE support? 6 OB's from a ship in orbit, along with at least 6 from ground forces is absurd. It makes PC much less tactical based and more of a "let's sit back and farm OB's instead of actually use combat tactics" to win.
If the outcome of Dust affects EVE than yes, it should be relevant. If not, then I fail to see the point. Until CCP is ready to have ALL connections to EVE live like the player market. Then it should not have anything to do with the ground war. Dust has no identity with no end game content since 1.7.
And yes, I have made friends EVE side, doesn't mean I believe they should influence the ground war so profoundly. |

My vision of Dust is a playing field for mercenaries. Some assemble into corps and have huge ships that ferry them across the universe to their contracts. Those ships would have corp armories, training areas and the like. Lone mercenaries would have small ships. Beginners might even require some kind of shuttle service.
A mercenary without a corp should be able to provide for himself, including buying their own clones. You would truly be an independant contractor.
The current game modes would be the modes for High-Sec areas, with more civilized worlds that actually have rules for warfare. Shared clone pools and low barrier to entry. The real mercenary livestyle, meanwhile, would be what I mentioned above. Crossing the universe, carefully choosing which planet you want to set up shop on and searching for contracts there. You'd also be able to customize the interior of your ship, which would be your home base both in space and on the ground.
As for the actual combat, I imagine vast battlefields filled with all kinds of players. There'd be tank battles going on, with supporting infantry for AV and repair. There'd be dropships ferrying players around the entire battlefield. Snipers would have the ability to mark enemies and make them visible for their squad. And more expensive equipment wouldn't be more powerful. It would be more interesting. Standard equipment would get only a few slots and very restricted customization. Higher level equipment would add crazy abilities. A commando-style suit that is customized for high maneuverbility to the extent of running across walls and sliding across the ground, at the cost of armor. A heavy that has given up so much speed that he's basically a walking turret. An LAV that had its gunner position removed in favor of a passenger compartment. Another LAV that gained physical armor for the driver and his passengers, at the cost of equipment. A dropship that has the passenger areas removed in favor of a high-quality scanner with immense PG costs. A light scout that dropped the light weapon slot for a pure nova knife build. The lack of light weapon would increase speed and endurance and the additional PG/CPU points would be used for a short-range thruster used to close distances. Autonomous guns and deployable cover as equipment. Dropsuits modified to only armor from the front. Players optimized for a pure grenade build.
Really, there would be so many possibilities with the premise of the game. But they'd require lots and lots of development. Then again, all those choices might lead to better monetization options. Stuff like customizing your ship/quarters or your avatar or access to a training area intended to allow you to test and train with equipment. The latter would also remove people that randomly do nothing with dropships while they are still trying to learn. |

I want game modes like Conker Live and Reloaded's Breach modes.
You have to break through 4-5 barriers, while the enemy has to defend the outpost for a set amount of time/kill off your reinforcements.

Large expansive maps with dynamic terrain from low to high.
More people per battle to actually affect some semblance of a battle line or front line versus rear position.
Less ballet and two stepping with infantry and tanks. Less running around in concentric circles.
Game moved to PC so we can lose the kiddie console brats or really, anything to run the FPS crowd off. Things like character skill meaning more than player skill. Targeting like EVE so the emphasis can placed on everything else to win a battle like activating modules.
Less emphasis on FPS mechanics for balance and more on the resource capturing for EVE online. More emphasis on the overall battle and not epeening about individual fights or balance per individual fights.

Lol, FW is such a contrived non-issue in EVE. It does nothing but allow for a reason to have instant fights. It doesn't affect the EVE world in any meaningful way.

Huh? By doing what the developers do anyway and changing the way it works with new mechanics and the EVE connection in furure updates. Doesn't need to be PC, just fighting over PI facilities and making the planetary resources count for the sake of automatic pub contracts or war dec contracts.
Point is to make DUST count for the whole of the game world.

most hi sec corps dont even do PI in hi sec and most hi sec planets in 1. dont even let you do PI . hell most War dec are about a pvp corp pissing on a minner/pve corp the rest do POS bashing like me. not only that PI in hi sec do,s not even pay for its time or give you a plex so most players dont do it in hi they go to low sec Null and Wspace where the you get a hier pay out for your time

this and this
dust should be as integral a part of the EvE universe as.... indy corps. planetary control should play a major part in maintaining SOV. it should be a bigger part of FW than it is and should be better optimized for FW (choosing the system/planet fought on, team deploy ect.). eve dust isk transfer is the biggest hurdle to jump because if eve corps can't pay us to do their dirty work the games can't really be united.
I would like to see a proper contract system for contracting dust corporations to perform actions.

I thought DUST was going to immediately affect EVE PI in a basic way with even high sec players issuing contracts for their PI facilities being attacked, even if by NPC corps in a random manner. That would have set it apart from the crowd and kept it in good standing. Are you trolling? |
