Not trolling, super cereal.
Gallente sidearm melee weapon, charge plasma rods.
While uncharged it does between 90-160 melee damage to infantry depending on tech level. Fully charged up it does double the damage to infantry. Fully charged it also has an AV bonus that gives it 1200% damage boost against vehicles.
Lets face it, people wand a sidearm AV weapon, so lets get one that lets us punch a hole through tanks!
The idea would be that there is a chamber that spins the superheated plasma until the weapon is fully charged, and then a carbon tungsten rod mechanically punches into the vehicle and ejects the plasma after impact. So its more like the plasma gets injected into the juicy tank insides after the rod is punched through. Where as vs infantry you're either just beating them in the face with the rod or shooting plasma into their face without punching the rod through them.
Give us the tank punching weapon! |

Caldari already got double super laser plasma knives that slice through dropsuits like a Canadian through bacon and maple syrup.

Seems legit.
Like those sticky bombs that people used before rocket launchers appeared.
Stick one to a armored vehicle, pull pin, boom.
Only, you know, without getting the damn thing stuck to your clothes.
That would probably suck.
DUST is a half decent game.
Be happy its free.

I would say if a tanker lets a heavy get close enough to punch it, yeah the tank should blow up, haha. But I still think an AV melee weapon should be sidearm, maybe light weapon. |

I'm fine with it as long as it mounts to our belts where our buckle would be.

Instead of a side arm, why not thermite grenades? 1 flux grenade wipes out the shields and 1 thermite grenade burns out the armor. I'd be down with that. Or a Mass-Driver with AV rounds. I don't think an AV melee weapon would go over well... Either people will complain about it being too hard to use, or they'll complain about it being too effective...
Just my 2 cents.. |

Its already possible to walk up to some tankers and drop remote explosives on them, so an AV melee weapon isnt that far off. |
