As if tankers are not already big enough fags, now I've notice tanks getting up on to towers. The anvil shaped tower for instance.
How is it if I'm on a gently sloping hill I can't queue a vehicle because my location is "inaccessible," yet these queerr baits are getting tanks on top of skyscrapers.
How is this not an exploit? |

Its been like this forever... I called in Rails on top of a tower to clear the snipers off the other towers. Worked a treat...

This is seriously news to you?
Edit: used to be it would drop pretty much wherever you called it. Used that a few times as a sort of time bomb. Like remotes now, run through enemy lines, call in BPO LAV, giggle as it squashes some reds, jump in and go murder taxi...

Not news I'm just noticing it more. And it got me thinking how can a point on the ground be inaccessible yet a tower isn't?
Also in 1.4 tanks weren't hard as fuk to kill like they are now. Adding 100 meters height to the tank problem is total ****. |

In all seriousness this shows the state of tanks now, tankers are doing it because they are still loosing tanks, which apparently you should do only once in a blue moon.
Snipers are doing it because they always did but a railgun > Sniper, everyone else doing it because no one wants to be on the ground with 3-4 blaster tanks anymore.

I agree, but this is a map design issue - every time I see a domination map with a giant tower just above the hack point with a clear line of sight it makes me groan... they need to remove these superstructures with a bird's eye view of the battlefield .... |

Edit: I forgot to mention the last taker I saw doing this was in a rail soma. I started rail gunning him and almost killed him, he then drive off the tower and landed safe and sound on the ground. I had to chase him to finish the kill. So my LAV can brush against a task and explode, but a half dead tank can fall off a tower and be fine. Thanks CCP.
There are spots in the game INTENDED for only dropships... but the deployment AI has not been improved enough to allow such differentiation.
Another of these said spots, is in the flat small node with the four square buildings at each end, and the walkways that cross the 2n'd floor at 3 areas. If you call a vehicle inside this node it will only deposit it on the helipad up above, which is pointless for tanks or LAV, but perfect for Dropships.

There is no doll that can express the violation I have felt.
To be on topic though, tower tanks are my favorite because they can't roll forwards and backwards to evade you without falling, and I just follow them down for the kill or assist. Good times, gooooood tiiiiiiiiiiimes
