The question contains implications that I don't support, so I'm querying it before giving an answer that implies support of the presumptions behind it. Who was the real competition? What did we stand to gain by buggering them? By whose standard did we not bugger them?

I don't think you have the tools to determine what was done and do not stand to profit by giving a play by play.

Pretty much no one, EoN didn't get huge until after we left, and no, the loss against TP still had nothing to do with that. In fact, a lot of the players had already left days before that battle and the rest were aware it would be the last battle (against STB we thought, but TP showed up instead).
