On my main character my active and passive boosters have finally ran out. It has become increasingly easy to do other things than play dust. I feel even more liberated by not having boosters. Now when I don't even bother to sign in I don't feel like I am wasting money. I have been boosted since early open beta and have only went a day without logging in. My main has enough SP to do anything well. I take comfort in the fact I will have a 40+mil SP character if dust ever takes off. If not it was worth a couple benjamins to have a decent gaming experience for a year. 1.7 was crap and 1.8 looks like crap. Freeing yourself from boosters is the first step in freeing yourself from dust. |

I've got 27 million lifetime SP. Once the other racial dropsuits are introduced, I'm certain a dropsuit SP refund will be issued. I'll move my SP from Caldari and Gallente suits into the Amarr Scout, and use the leftover SP as I see fit. I will then have proto Amarr Assault, Logistics, and Scout - I'll be set...will have reached end game so to speak. Me continuing to buy boosters is in the case for stockpiling for future content releases (think jets, MTACS, other vehicles, etc) and me knowing that developing a game takes money and CCP could use any support they can garner.

Hehe This is pretty much exactly where I'm at which is why I've been able to save 6 mill SP over the past 3 months. Getting gal scout and cloak and the rest will go into whatever ewar features pop up.
I use 30 day boosters cause I can, so I don't have this need to log in every day. I feel no obligation to play, or keep playing. I play cause I want to...and cause my O.C.D demon overlord compels me to make a badass merc.

Figure out how much it coated to stay boosted for a year. Plus a blood raiders saga and dren suits. I supported just fine. I still do. I just can't throw money at a game that isn't fun. |

Neither, which is why I can throw money at D514. I think I'll always use boosters. I just like amassing it and having it there to go balls deep in new shiney shinies.

I have a million alts that accrue passive. I don't even care about the grind or SP anymore. Its all vanity, the game has more content but is less satisfying. One day it may be fun again but I doubt I will ever purchase anything. Too much is subject to change for me to invest more money and for now time. |
