Will a specialized AV suit be in the works? Something with a light AV weapon slot (not a light weapon slot, only light AV weapons) and a sidearm, runs fast, has bonuses to light AV weaponry & grenades, has 2 equipment slots and has rather tanky health?
Just wondering when my prof 5 swarms will be viable again against good tanks without having to use an entire squad of 6 people to trap and take out 1 proper tanker. When 4 or more actually good tankers squad up, there's no real point in trying to play on the other side at this point just to kill 1 or 2 tanks and die 10 times in the process.

I doubt it. This game is not really supposed to limit you to roles (even though we have them lol).
You have a choice between AV weapons and AI (Anti-Infantry) and that's enough, in my opinion. The assault minnie is the best for light AV, in my opinion. Plenty of high slots for damage mods and you get a bonus to speed and your sidearm!
What we need is more heavy weapons to compliment the arrival of new suits. |

The game is designed to kill you as often as possible so you'll spend your AURUM. Just think of Orbital Strikes. I don't care how good you are, one of those will take you out from time to time. Don't expect them to make it easier. |

Remove the AV slot and you'll have FOTM chasers there

The commando seems to be a good option for AV with it's upcoming bonuses to the damage of racial weapon types. However, I am kinda disappointed that the Cal Commando won't have a bonus to swarms. I think it should get a bonus to both Hybrid rail and missiles.
Also, swarms will be better once there's better balance between shield and armour tanks and people bring more armour tanks to the field.
We want cake and tea.
