It's been suggested before, but I think the Minmatar scout needs a slot made just for knives, in addition to his light weapon and sidearm slot.
It would still be equip-able(just like when you put it on a sidearm slot) as well as changing the melee swing of even when it's not equipped. It should add half of one normal knife swing depending on the level.
So it would add:
50
75
100
To the normal melee swing.
Actually, it would be cool if all light suits and maybe even if mediums got it as well(non Logi of course) but Minjas are the ones who deserve it.

So should Minmatar Logis get a "Repair Tool Slot" just for the repair tool then? Caldari get a Nanohive specific slot?
Adding things "Because why not" is not conducive to good game design.

The only reason Logis should not get a hive/repair/scan slot is because they don't need a 4th or 5th equipment slot. They also don't need to restrict one of their slots to only piece of equipment.
A Minmatar scout may not get the new equipment slot, but I'm turn, it will get to keep its sidearm. Adding a knife slot will fit the Minmatar scouts play style without breaking it(besides, most Minny scouts have a hard enough fitting their suits as it is. If they can find a place for the knife, let'me slap it on)
Giving the Matari scout a place to hold his "favorite" weapon on a suit destined for it makes sense to me.

I think what he is trying to say is that the Matari scout is a garbage suit and this could potentially buff an otherwise worthless suit. |

Well, I wouldn't call it garbage...but it just seems to me the risk isn't worth the reward.
