you're out of your mind if you think you'll be able to use equipment while cloaked
i will quit this game if an invisible scout drops REs on my back while i'm running infantry and detonates them from a safe distance.

you don't need to be invisible while placing them. you will be invisible until you drop the first one, and by then it's already to late.
if you are smart they won't be able to see you anyway, and their guns won't be able to easily hit you, and an RE will already be on them. |

I've done it a couple times already with an advanced Gallente scout suit/lv.3 dampened/enhanced dampener. Walked up to the tank from behind and threw my three REs on the vulnerable backside. Boom. Would love to have a fourth RE though, to take out the uber tanks.
That said, the cloak may well be the best way to take out the stationary rail tanks.
Life is killing me.

true but at the very least you won't appear as a red dot on the radar or with their gun pointed at you, even if you might be somewhat visible |

well after you place the first RE as I said it's already too late takes near to no time to drop three re's, and you'd be surprised it's very easy to miss the RE sound when you are firing your blaster turrets and paying attention to other things. |

When cloaks do hit and I still take out tanks don't blame it on the cloak. It just meant I ran away a lot easier

That won't happen if cloaks are similar to EVE.
Can't use any modules, weapons, or equipment while cloaked. Delay for performing actions other than movement after decloaking (specialized roles would eliminate this penalty, perhaps scouts for now). Getting too close to another player would decloak. Taking damage should also decloak.

since you can fire while cloaked we already know it won't be like eve. |

Cloak, climb on top of turret, decloak to make the tank panic, THEN dump your REs all over it. |

Ummm, you don't need the cloak to do this.
Scouts with a couple a dampeners are far more invisible than these forums give them credit.

yep this is the only way I blow up tanks while in an infantry suit, it'll be that much easier to do while invis |
