What's it for? I run Minnie scout with native bonus to melee and I cant figure out what it's good for.

I love those CQC moments when me and the red are both reloading. I strafe into him and I just mash on the melee repeatedly for a melee kill. I imagine it pisses the victim off. I know I would be pissed.

not much with the base starting at 80 damageGǪ it kinda makes for a useless bonus

By melee repeatedly you mean hitting him once for 120 hp every 2 seconds (because that's the delay on melee) until you run out of stamina? My money is on the reloading guy or the guy who remembered to reload his side arm beforehand.

Whats melee? Is that when I hit a guy 3 times and he still has half sheilds? Or is it the sound of laughter coming from my subconscience because I really tried to fight using it?

A charge shot from the advanced knives i have doesn't seem to kill heavies but an immediate follow up melee attack seems to finish them off every time.
Also oww! that commando would one shot my speed tanked scout with its melee XD

Its pretty useful as a heavy when you sneak up on someone that is hacking rather than shooting and spending ammo melee then. 1 hit takes out shields nearly every time then when they back up open up with the hmg and finish them off.
Better yet is when they dont have shields up yet and you can get in 2 hits to obliterate them and melee comes up on killboard. |

I had some dusty neo Mk.0's and figured i'd put my 1.5dn's to use, also thought i'd use those Hep Metabolics, but sadly they're under the same stacking penalty.
Think i got 230 melee.
Shoot 7-10 Gar shots then break their neck.
Ahh me n my squadmate were just laughing our sorry hides off when we found you can punch people so effectively!

When both me and the other guy are near death and reloading, (melee) is what you'll see in between our names before either of us can shoot again. Unless I screw up, in which case, he'll finish reloading before I do, and I get very dead. But at least I'm laughing when I go down. |

Melee is for when people try to hack null cannons in front of you. Repeatedly. I once got 4 melee kills in a row with my commando, it was almost as if they liked having their faces smashed into the panel...

What about mini scout that is 'second to almost none' per suit description when it comes to melee damage. CCP never ceases to amuse me. I mean wtf are those guys even thinking when they put stuff in the game? Is there any logic at all anyone can see in this?

In 1.8 you will get base gmg increase to 120.
