Allow players to start a match with conditions. like number of players, to allow a duel or 4 vs 4 ect. the meta level of gear, weather you can use vehicles, weapon and suit types, heavy match with scrambler pisols only, scouts with nova knives only, medium frames all weapons allowed,ect.
make these kind of match pay no isk for time in match but rather pay by betting. example in the 4 vs 4 the host pays 100 000 isk per participant ( or what ever they would like to make in the match) to have the match appear in the battle finder. the challenger must match the same amount as the host to participate split evenly between the players. so 4 solo or a squad of 4 could join the hosted match ( in a 4 vs 4 )

they had corp contracts where you could essentiallly do this through having a prior agreement for the battle

similar idea but with the ability to limit aspects of the game, i do remember that. its how PRO lost a sh!t ton of isk
