to me, this just seems like a crappy version of the logi. most scouts i know prefer a sidearm over a light weapon anyway. so doesn't having 2 sidearms make more sense?
another idea, would be have 2 weapon slots available, but adding a light weapon to either slot, cancels out the remaing weapon slot. whereas, adding a sidearm to one slot, does allow you to add a second sidearm to the "other" weapon slot.
i myself am no scout, but im pretty sure trading your sidearm for a second eq slot, is a terrible tradeoff. another good idea ive seen, is the minmatar scout ends up keeping 2 weapon slots and 1 eq slot, and becomes the "combat scout" ( ie amarr logi = combat logi )
disclaimer...i know none of this is confirmed 100%, im merely suggesting ideas, and speculating. |

@_@ So those the whole 1 weapon thing. Shotgunners gonna be screw'd if those goes down.
Also, many people are suggesting that CCP makes it so that there's a marksman light suit or something for light frame players to specialize in.

Honestly, I really hope they don't gimp the scout further by taking away its sidearm slot... They should receive their extra equipment slot and keep their side arm for Nova knives

Imo, I see more Logis sniping then any other class. Complex damage mods in the highs, and armor stacking the lows... Thales and 3 nanohives...

And against a Sniper with good situational awareness, good luck finding them when they've got a cloak - they'll be invisible by the time you get close enough to matter. You know that's why we're getting the extra equipment slot, right? It goes with a fitting bonus that will be practically required to use the beautiful new item we're getting to play with. |

Thales and 3 nanohives... me too, but these types of players are easy kills, i dont even take these people into consideration. they're just redline scrubs, not snipers who actually contribute anything

I run 4 Complex dampeners to have a scan profile of like 10db's lol, sweet sweet back stabbing

yhhh indeed. Usually you dont even need dampeners because everyone runs basic scanners, except for those hardcore Duvolle focused scanner logis :P

I think Scouts should have a L and S weapon slot and 2 equipment slots but; equipping a Light and a Sidearm will only allow for 1 equipment to equipped invalidating the fitting if one tries to equip a second, and vice versa, choosing to equip 2 equipment items should invalidate a fitting that has more than one weapon equipped (whether it be light or sidearm)

With only passive skills reducing that, we can beat the 28dB Scanners already, and a GalScout should be pretty close to the Duvolle's Precision with only one Dampener.
Also, yours should have been "YOU HAVE BEEN SCANNED", and you missed the capitals in "dB"and at the beginning of almost every sentence you've ever written, along with plenty of punctuation I could point out.

I'm confused on why you just can't add a second equipment slot to Advanced/Proto Scout suits without taking away the secondary weapon?
It's not like this would make the suits OP. It would balance them out with the other roles.
I like the idea that some people are coming up with on if you want to carry two weapons, you only get one equipment. If you want two equipment, you only get one weapon. But why does this even need to happen? Just give Scouts a second equipment and leave it at that. |

Well im a REDLINE scrub that can go 43/0 then. Be worried if I was you.........If you have ever used a Thale, then you would know that you have to be in the REDLINE to use it affectively
But back to the main point......... IMO I don't like the idea of changing the scout like that...but can see your point...

The Scout is being reworked as a CovOps role. I think two sidearm slots would potentially fit nicely with a super awesome cloaking ability, especially if every race had their own short and long range option to choose from. There's nothing that says a Scout has to use a sniper rifle, or against adding a new light frame Role with Sniper rifle bonuses that maybe could use a less than awesome cloak. See here for details.
