Massive skill over haul, slot change, role change, even the possibility of things getting removed ( I'm looking at you Swarm Launcher!). A respec on most things seems kind of obvious. Particularly Assault suits, Logi Suits and Scout Suits.
Question is, what are you spending that SP on! 
You wanna battle / Aztec's not afraid of you / I could care less about your reputation / Even though it maybe true.

Have you ever done a proto suit grind... Its probably the worst experience this game has to offer. I was literally pucking after I got my AK.0 and I had to take a 2 week break after the GK lol

Well, vehicle skills were refunded BC EVERYTHING changed.
Drop suits aren't going to be anything like what they used to be.
At the very least, light and heavy drop suit skills should be refunded.
Even better, all drop suit skills
Better than that would be full respec BC I only bought proto equipment BC I had a logi suit to assault with...and now it doesn't do that anymore.

CCP has a long history of screwing people over and then maybe offering a cookie. We did gate that one Optional Respec so anything is possible. Given their track record I'm just hoping the next major update is less messy.

Yesterday I would have said dropsuit command only is likely but having seen Remnant's revelations today about weapon proficiency changing, damage mod adjustments and the fact that it really seems like the whole thing is being reworked, I'd say a full respec is possible.
I'm on 29.5 million SP atm, dropsuit core upgrades will stay 100% maxed, Gallente and Minmatar proto logi will stay. Without any respec I'll have around 8.5-9 mill unallocated come 1.8 but a full respec would be a nice chance to streamline everything given new content

I understand the people with 25+mil SP can go into a couple suits and guns... but me sitting at 17+mil sp will just max out our cores again... and then I will sit on the rest... and wait for CCP to get done with the Nerf/Buff hammer before I spec into anything long term.

Its also possible that dropsuit specializations will cost less SP (lower multiplier). As some dev posted in weekly feedback that spec suits should be easier to get into. :)

That's actually quite a sensible approach. I got burnt before with suit nerfing. I think I'll just wait this one out. I can function fine with advanced suits. Also going to be keeping a close eye on the forum and doing a lot of research this time around.

You may as well be claiming it's possible that CCP will remove vehicles and make DUST infantry only.
That makes just as much sense as removing Swarm Launchers, and is backed up by the same amount of facts and evidence. |
