So i have officially dabbled in every strategy except for RE's (pending SP).
I've recently tried to go the AV route and am curious to peoples fits. Since I typically go LOGI I don't have the option for a side arm when I made my first fit. I realize that this is a giant mistake now.
Do you always try to do two people? Does anyone use dampeners? Do you stay in your red and wait for tanks to circle around?
Right now, I'm looking at going to my min-med or going assault (as I already have SP invested) and stacking some damage mods, swarm launcher, nanohives and AV
I have gotten quite a few UAV's and tooke out a couple of tanks. I just find myself dying way more than I would like. I also have the most problem against multiple tanks for obvious reasons. Except for the modules and the suit (all advanced tier) I am the lowest tier (i.e. Militia Swarm, tier one AV).
SP permitting the week durring Jan 22nd i'm obvious going to skill up a lot of things. I figure with boosters I'm gonna crack a million SP that week. |

MLT Tank > FG Gun > AV/Flux and Swarm
There are no UAV's in this game, so your character should probably not go to COD matches anymore. Swarms will get a makeover in a few weeks with 1.8 or whatever its being called. Right now they are useless. Go Min assault, stack dmg mods and kin cats or cardiac regs. Hives and either flux or AV nades RE's are extremely versatile with just a little practice. USE TEAMWORK or die repeatedly. |

I used a sica for a bit. Its like 300k sp to skill into basic tanks. Gotta avoid the militia Nerf somehow.

Proto AV grenades and 3 good nanohives, so you can sustain a good throw rate.

So basically lay off the swarm launcher and, if anything, move to a heavy and do the forge gun. Get, at least, adv in AV grenades. And hives to restock.
Hmm, I don't have any SP in heavy. Sigh, gonna try to make do with logi or assault and see where I can go from there. Thanks everyone. |

I use the Standard Anti-Armor fit with a switch for the grenades they have with actual AV grenades. On that fit is a militia swarm and a militia scrambler pistol with no damage mods.
2/3 of the tanks I come across are usually destroyed or nearly destroyed by me. Why? I get up on them with my gear(which is near suicidal but damn effective if you know what you're doing) and start spamming away. AV grenades do like 750 for regular standards and SL(idk the damage right now) definitely helps with the damage.
I'll say this.
If you can strip the shields off a tank and spam Prototype Packed AV grenades, you'll most likely have a dead tank. Those that don't die will usually retreat their assess off. Now. If you have a nanohive, you can spam them even more.

Nanohives + AV Grenades - The trick I find here to either bait them to you location or get on their flank. When you're in close proximity to the tanker make sure to put your nano hives down before you spam them with AV nades; I know it can be tempting but you need to assess the situation first. Try to work out in which direction the tanker will run when they start taking damage (in most cases theyGÇÖll reverse).
Pop out 2x GÇ£State Ishukone NanohivesGÇ¥ - Having a high resupply rate is key here, seeing as it will often take more than 3 nades to kill a tank. The state Nanohioves have a ammo resupply rate of 35%!
Use GÇ£Lai Dai Packed AV GrenadesGÇ¥ - These do 1,218 DPS but have a very small magnetizing radius which is why you need to be close to the tank. When you can figure out which direction the tank will mostly to escape in and let the spamming begin! Try and throw them so they magnetize to the main turret, this will confuse the taker in what direction the damage is coming from.
Please note :: Have someone use Flux Grenades to whittle down their shields first. YouGÇÖll kill them quicker; seeing as AV grenades do more DPS to armor.
And that is my strategy to killing tanks.
