Since 1.7 hit, ive not seen much use of my SCR seeing the new toys are hard to pass up on and i had been using the SCR since day 1 as an early adopter before it became cool. Some people might still have fond memories of me when they faced me with my Imperial SCR, others not so much....hmm i guess everyone facing me could be put in the not so much category.

At Day 1 you needed to suit to get any Heat reduction, though the gun was good even without it but it had a crappy bonus to reduce chargetime, later came the skill induced heat reduction and the gun became more widly adopted.

At this point intime having had to play within the previous limits, those extra 4-5 shots rally made the diffrence for us early adopters, now in 1.8 they are going to put the cork back in reducing us to just the bare heat needed to kill 4-5 guys while having to strain myself not to overheat at all times, causing me at many times to die due to user failure.

So now having tasted the new guns, CR and RR ive adopted the new Assault RR for CQC engagements quite well, though its not as spring loaded as the SCR, it packs quite a punch for extended firefights or allows me to swap weapons whenever i need. That alone saves me quite allot. You never know if those 5 guys you just steamrolled through had a 6 the guy in their squad.


Now when i used the SCR ive been called allot of things, from Turbo Scrub to AA loser to outright saying "i should go ******* die in a fire" but most of the time its Turbo AA and i should turn those off and "Get Guud Newb". Regardless, i got pages of it upon pages.

So now that i am using another gun that you cannot obviously use a Turbo controller on and making the same scores as with the SCR, but i am dying less most of the time.

But now i am apparantly Lag Skipping, up to the whazoo and i should not use Nano Hives, because people want to do bad things to my hives and another part of me where the sun doesnt shine, though i have to believe dem people i am still using the AA feature somehow with my Razor Kayboard, Razor Mousemat and Razor Mouse.

So far the most hilarious mail i got was from MetiumMagic or something, biting the floor with his SCR on 9 something occasions in CQC vs my Rail Rifle, ideally i should have been dead 9 times if i faced myself.

So he mails me something along the lines of "Lagswitching, couldnt hit you cheater", so i return a "Lol 120mbit internet connection, get guud scrub" and i get back from him "You don't know who you're talking to" Sure he killed me a couple of times while i got swamped in Red Solo as i ussually run and he nicked the killshot, but yeah....well can't beat everything all the time. But its funny he says that to me :p


I don't know yet what i am gonna do in 1.8 most likely pick up just 1 Gun, as opposed to having specced 4 guns to all lvl 5's, i am veering really hard to the RR or CR because i am so CQC orientated, but i dunno i gotta see the new slot layouts if there are any on the revamped suits.


What are the other SCR users gonna go with in 1.8 if we get a respec?

I also rarely use the SCR now these days. With the possible removal of the bonus on the Amarr Assault, the weapon is going to become even more useless to me. Currently I use the RR and AR. I'll still use the SCR some, but not as much as I once did.

I never get hate mail and i clear a point in just std gear :-(. Also i put the scr down the moment 1.7 hit the rail rile is just more useful in run and gun gameplay. If i was support i would still use ScR

I'll take it for 3 months and then we'll pass it over to the Darkk Cloud, he'll be a beast With it and a Galente fatsuit.

Quite the same feeling then as Aisha and me when we got hold of the RR, hope to come across your RR someday, its been a while since we crossed paths.
