The results might actually surprise you though I'd imagine there are a few who would nod in agreement at this information.
Assault Monthly Logistics Monthly Scout/Heavy Monthly
Assault Weekly Logistics Weekly Scout/Heavy Weekly
Now, as with all things Dust 514 related that does not come directly from CCP, there is a level of inaccuracy involved with this data. However, assuming that it is, it definitely paints a rather interesting picture about the state of the game.
Most bought suits: Amarr Assault / Commando (tied) Caldari Assault Minmatar Logistics
Least bought suits: Caldari Assault Gallente Scout Minmatar Logistics / Gallente Logistics / Minmatar Scout (tied)
Given the evidence provided there certainly seems to be a running extreme as the Caldari Assault and Minmatar Logistics both came on some of the highest and lowing selling points on different days. One thing is reliably certain though in that Amarr suits seem to be a general favorite among the community.
One other thing that is interesting is how the market was affected by the recent information we attained from Singularity regarding the new suit skills, which we received on January 7th seen in this post.
Perhaps by sheer coincidence but Minmatar Assault suits seem to be on the rise while the rest begins to decline. As far as the logistics suits they seem to all have hit a brick wall (as to be expected considering the drastic change in playstyle that is to be expected) and then began to fluctuate with Minmatar and Caldari rising in popularity while Amarr and Gallente have their dips. Lastly, the Scouts and the Heavies all saw declines before rapid increases with the Minmatar Scout seeing the most fluctuation, but I have a feeling this may be because of the recent announcement of the January events.
Have a theory? Input? Feedback? Discuss.

Bunny Demon wrote:But then you've got to consider that just because a suit isn't being bought as much doesn't mean it isn't being used as much
The amarr assault may be the most bought because people die in them more often and therefore need to restock more often Whereas someone using a gal assault may not need to buy as many per day
Could be a small difference individually but when it's extrapolated over the playerbase it could (potentially) affect it noticeably
This particular study is based on what was bought, not necessarily which is most useful.

Do my eyes deceive me or has my brain failed me? Yea, some races got mixed there. Minmatar Assault should be most bought (not Amarr Assault) And the duplicates are just slight errors in racial wording.
Incorrect.
The Most/Least bought were taken on any given day. For instance, on the 30th of December the Amarr Assault was irrefutably the most bought while the least bought suit on that day was the Amarr Sentinel. The most bought suit(s) were which suits were bought the most out of any of the given days to rank popularity rather than highest total 30-day total which wouldn't show a trend line.
The suits that were the most bought also had different extremes on different days. On December 21st the Caldari Assault had the least amount of orders with 16,492 (the least bought for that day) while on January 3rd saw 132,751 buy orders (the most for that day).

Plausible until you look at the Minmatar Scout.

Denn Maell wrote:Nice work, very interesting stuff here. It would appear that I'm not the only one eyeing minlogi because Gallente Logi seems fated to "Scanner Bunny" duty. Any chance you could let us know where this info came from? I would like to compare sales from individual Loyalty Stores as well.
Listed in the original post. Does not show Faction/Aurum listings.

Well, EHP =/= lifespan, after all. Heavies seem to die a lot, thanks to sitting on points.
Speculation is always up to the individual.
