What headphones do you use? I have a reeeally bad sensitivity to sound so I don't have gaming headphones. Recommendation?

Steel Series makes a decent set of headsets. they come in usb or analog, which means they can work for multipule sources.

Been using a corded Turtle Beach P11. Not so great when it's warm but great for marathon games.

The sound aspect of DUST isn't really that important to be honest... sound quality is.. . sound priority is... i really wish this had 1000x more emphasis on.. After all sound could be more useful then a scanner, and definitely improves the experience and immersion into the game experience.
Best headphones for DUST i find are ones that can control the volume difference between voice and game sound on the actual headphones. without being able to adjust the volume level of some players mic's in seconds your ears and sanity can take a beating having the loud voiced person control the sound priority unchecked. |

I haves used turtle beach headsets for 4 years or so. I thoroughly enjoy that I can here the game thru the headset. The downside is I can't listen to games on my ps4 :( ps4 has no analog. Hopefully they make something. Anywho, spend some money and get a good one, just don't break the bank. |

First: quality cost money & you get what you pay for. That goes for most things in life.
There are a few factors you need to think of first: How many systems are you going ro use it for. How long do your gaming sessions last. (Movies?)
Do you want wired or wireless? Now with wireless you CAN get interference but not always. And you may need to invest in rechargeable batteries.
With wired the only thing is the ten foot cable, but that doesnt bother me except ive gone through two of the cables because theyve been dropped several hindred times.
Now do you want 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound? 5.1= five speakers ad one bass speaker(3 in front 2 in back)
Now theres the tupe of connection. Either the L&R audio outputs or the optical output.
The higher end headsets use the optical amd most are 7.1
I currently use the Turtle Beach PX5, its a wireless 7.1 headset. I like it(when i do use it).

Although I'm using a Pair of A50's right now, I'm now dissatisfied with them. So I tried out several headsets (somewhere around 100), and found out that either Razer, Steel Series, or Crosair for headsets are very good. There's others, but they're not to my taste. (Yes, Heinz, I'm not said that Steel Series is good. I was just saying that I personally didn't like them as much.). Most other companies such as Turtle Beach or Triton are ****** headphones, as they are well made at all, and are not very good sounding (to me anyways). Even the Sony ones are not worth buying. It's just that people hasn't tried better, so they think that the one that they have is super good, when in fact it isn't. At all.

I don't use gaming headsets, I use headphones that I use for recording music. Audio-technicas m-45. Great headphones, comfortable and no fatigue of the ears. For a mic I use a Bluetooth with the audio out to the system. |
