FW. Caught in a redline. At one point I'm sitting as a heavy sniper well in the redline, trying to atleast hassle the enemy, when I get RE'd.
I think how the hell did that guy get past everyone? So I respawn.
Then latter on I see some team mates shooting each other - I think their stupid. Until I see one kill another, revive him and kill him again - so I shoot him, take my -50.
Then I think - hey, was the RE a team kill??
What are the buttons for punish, vs what the normal button for respawning is when an enemy kills you? I hate to think I didn't punish the DH who did the RE, just because I didn't expect the team kill and didn't look for the different button config.

Right after you die from a team mate in FW, there should be a button key that shows you what button does what.
On a DS3:
Square for Punish
Circle for Respawn
X for Call for Help
I have once been killed by a shotgunner and revived by him multiple times without getting a chance to push the punish button, so be aware of awoxers.

It causes the team killer to lose standings (how much I don't know) and get closer to getting a 24 hour ban from faction warfare of the current faction he/she was in.

when a player is punished for team kills (I believe three times in one day) they are banned for 24 hrs from ALL faction warfare

Just pause the game and select the option for suicide, note the name of the killer and post them on here. Make a permanant list and start gathering names up for people to watch out for. it will get bumped as people put in names.
EDIT: Do this when they are killing and reviving you. |

You can get a 24hr ban for either 1) 4 punished TKs or 2) 5000 points damage to team members or equip/vehicles (installations don't count toward this total). Be careful as well about vehicles that have been hacked, the enemy may be driving it but it still counts as team equipment. |

Also be careful with your own RE's. They can damage each other and cause the kick.

I believe the RE issue was fixed.
I am not sure about the hacked vehicles one though. If this is correct it would be yet another reason for Hacking a vehicle to transfer ownership of that vehicle. It just does not make sense that you would retain ownership after the enemy hacks it. Also, if ownership was transferred this could be a nice revenue steam. Jacking LAVGÇÖs could become a profession in DUST.
