I'm not sure what the map is called, it's one of the newer ones with the tall pointy tower in the middle. Anyways I was playing on Skirmish with my Missile Gunnlogi, I was on a really good destruction streak, but was running low on ammo so I went back to our spawn to resupply. I drove underneath the cover of the structure so I was right next to the supply depot. While I was resupplying I figured I'd check the map for any enemy HAVs to watch out for. When I paused my controller rumbled at bit, but I figured it was some blueberry doing something stupid. When I un-paused, my HAV was falling through space under the map.
After some testing with some militia HAVs, I have come to the conclusion that if you pause the game while you're parked under these structures(there's I think three of them on this map) in your HAV, you will fall through the terrain. This is sort of bullcrap. Is it possible to open a ticket to get my ISK refunded? My Gunnlogi isn't cheap, and I had no control over losing it.
To anyone who uses HAVs, don't pause the game while you're parked in these structures.

It's happened to me as well. It occurs in small or medium sockets when you pull up different neo-com sections in a vehicle (happened with both tanks and LAVs, dropships just explode). Idk about large sockets though.

Sorry, the very lameness of a gunnlogi with missiles causes one to drop right off the map.
I'm kidding. I run a missile gunnlogi. Though they do seem to be lamer than they should be. Ticks me off. I love missiles and I want them on the tank they go with.
The map thing is a problem though but hasn't happened to me yet.

I've had the exact opposite: Gunnlogi floating a few inches above the ground, treads not moving. Neat looking, but strange

I've had it happen on the same map, playing dom.
Need ammo for my rail, so I figured hey, I'll see if there's anymore tanks to pop.
Rumble rumble goes my controller, and tumble did my tank go.
Or maybe we found a way to get into Eve

Nah I think missiles are perfectly balanced. Though today I managed to go 20-0, 13-1, and 16-1 along with a few other good games like that, all with a missile Gunnlogi. I didn't play much because I figured I didn't want to ruin my day when my luck started running out and rail tanks popping me at every corner.

I find that Missiles are fantastic for taking out Installations and other vehicles, but I find it difficult to kill enemy infantry with them. It seems like splash damage is horribly ineffective and I usually have to rely on getting a direct shot, which is fine for oblivious stationary enemies, but it's frustrating trying to kill an enemy at close range who keeps running and jumping around me while my I fire a volley of missiles that seem to have zero splash.

Are you shooting infantry or tanks to get those scores? I'm good at hitting infantry but I only hunt tanks purposefully. Anything else is gravy.

I lost a Gunnlogi with proto mods today like this. Was stuck with shitfits the rest of the match to prevent running severely negative ISK. I don't have to be under anything, just on any slightly hilly terrain. Open map, suicide. What fun.
Also, on one map, I can't remember which one but it has a big city in the middle, driving under a certain overhang instanatly pops me, everytime. I've spontaneously combusted just driving around with, literally, no enemies on the enemy team. At least 4 of my tanks have spontaneously combusted and a good half dozen have fallen through the floor due to the map or bugged nitrous.
Let's not even talk about all the HAVs lost due to glitched redline counters (continuing after I'm outside of the redline, still killed me, killing me before timer is up, no timer visible, etcetera) and game crashes 10 seconds before the match ends that saves all the tanks I lost, but doesn't give me my half a million ISK payout.
