Overview: I have a Minja Alt to get ready for Operation Shinobi with some spare Skill Points to burn. There are several options and advice would be much appreciated. - Relevant Info:
- Will have about 420k unallocated Skill Points by the 15th
- Minja level 4
- Profile Dampening level 4
- Bare bones fitting skills
- Fitting Plan: M/1 Scout with ZN-28 Nova Knives. Modules are normally a militia stamina, armor rep, and shield extender. Aiming to keep the fits cheap and expendable. - Some Skill Options: Everything inside the parenthesis is the total Skill Point cost to by the skill.
- Kin-Cats at level 1 (18k SP) or 3 (205k SP)
- Shield Extenders same as Kin-Cats
- Nova Knife Proficiency level 3 (217k SP)
- Either sensor buff skill level 2 (55k SP)
- Handheld Damage Upgrades level 1 (74k SP) or 3 (148k SP)
- Do nothing and get Profile Dampening 5 during the event
- Room Chat/Channels: Scouts United seems well populated. If anyone knows of another Light Frame hangout please share.

I would recommend making a new character to get 500k SP towards the scout/knives and you'll be battling noobs. I can give anyones character millions extra if you use my referral code (PM) and get to 100,000wp
Recruit to 100,000wp get 30 mil:

If you get your kincats to 3, you can use LP complex kincats.
You can get an excellent knifing suit by using the advanced scout with ishnoks and kincats. It's not too expensive either - mine runs at 35k IIRC, plus a handful of LP (but you don't need to use complex kincats).
Ishnoks and kincats are a joy to use when knifing. If you master the art of jump charging anyone you get into knife range with will die, period. There is none of that crap where you get the odd hit and they survive to backpedal and kill you - if you hit them, they die. This goes for heavies as well.
I don't think proficiency is worth your SP, tbh. The problem with knives is rarely the damage unless moving between tiers.

This is a terrible idea if he wants the rewards to be of much use to him.
Besides which this character is well set up anyway.

Arkena Wyrnspire wrote:If you get your kincats to 3, you can use LP complex kincats. Need for speed eh? While experimenting I've had a bit of a toss up between speed and stamina. Being able to run forever has been nice but there has been this nagging feeling maybe more control over contact might be better. If going this route it would mean experimenting with some Enhanced Kin-Cats.

I would have ran more iNK fits but the cheap one was three times more expensive and the other four times than my throw away fit. Using them also practically requires use of the Advanced Minja outfit. Looks like it is time to review options for increasing fitting skills.

Thank you for confirming that, it was a suspicion that the prof skill wasn't as valuable as it is for other weapons. Just needed someone to say it. Especially with so many other things that will boost other aspects on the suit in other less tangible ways.
I will get online and see what options there are for getting iNKs on the suit. Fitting skills and/or boosting modules.

Update: The fitting skills or modules weren't necessary.
Basic Scout w/ iNK, militia Shield Extender, militia Card-Reg, enhanced Kin-Cat. About 19k ISK
Advanced Scout w/ iNK, 2x enhanced Shield Extenders, militia Card-Reg, enhanced Kin-Cat. Under 30k ISK
Kind of missing the militia Armor Repper.

So this is what that tiny text was for the news? (Standard CRT tv, 16") They should fix tiny letters...
Thankfully though, already kincat3(starting tomorrow) and scout/damp/knife 3, it's gonna be fun slicing throats and getting rewards!
Under 28db
Officially nerfproof (predicting CR nerf February '14)

If you are looking for a knife buddy, I will be running this event as well.

Thanks GK. My Minja Alt is in The Scouts United chat. Nice chat, sad that I already have too many open on this Main.
