Tanks should receive fall/collision damage. If a tank jumps of a cliff/building, it should lose health, die if fall is too high. If a tank uses turbo & drives at full speed into a structure, it should lose health. Or when two tank collide, also lose health. |

Seeing as LAV and Dropships get damage when not driven properly, tanks should indeed as well.

I'm a tanker I shouldn't have to share the road with any lavs or infantry. I swerve to get any I see including friendlies.

We actually DO take collision damage, but I will admit it is very very low. On a similar note, the amount of damage an LAV takes from *bumping* into an HAV is excessively large.
Also am I the only one that thinks fall damage on dropsuits is excessively high?

I think it's the way mass is handled. I suspect the tank speed boost is a result of their reduced mass. This would explain why they fly over little bumps. Also why the Madrugar isn't a bulldozer anymore. It used to be faster to ram a Gunnlogi then to shoot it. |

I think that's exactly it, and a fact that the LAV is significantly lighter than the HAV is the reason it takes so much damage on collision. Overall the collision equations need some work in all aspect, the damage just doesn't feel right.

Agree with fall damage, but not with collision damage. Even in my limited tanking pre-1.7, my Gunnlogi would get rammed by Madrugars and lose virtually all it's shield health (because apparently collision damage scales differently for shields and armor). It's an unfair and cheep tactic and shouldn't be allowed.\
Edit: Perhaps a little, but not to the extend of depleting all my shields with one bump.

I'm not saying it should be like that, but if an HAV collides with a structure at a similar speed to an LAV, it should take similar amounts of damage. I also feel vehicle on vehicle collision damage is too high, ramming should not be a viable tactic to do damage.

I certainly don't miss being rammed by maddies. It was like the greatest insult to a gunnlogi driver. Gunnlogis were **** back in the day, and it could really chap my hide when one didn't even need to shoot me, just ram my ass and laugh. OP dicks!

No, collision damage for vehicles are fine (other than DS's,and those between DS's and RDV's are far too high.). fall damage for dropsuits are too high.
