This is how I envisioned the suits would be like. I have 20 different suits just for Amarr with different bonuses that come from the suit not from the skill. Skill does change the bonus but all the suits have different bonuses that are geared toward Amarr tech. With different slot layouts on each suit and slightly different stats such as PG/CPU, speed, stamina, shield regen, and all the other stats these suits would be different and play differently.
I know that we don't have heavy energy weapons and I know you think CCP will never introduce them into the game and all that negative junk but my point is that diversity comes from the differences in the suits and with better people than me figuring out what suits get what bonuses and layouts then I believe that we could have a very diverse set of suits
I don't care if they look the same or are colored different because it really doesn't matter because I want the suits to unique in their abilities not color scheme. To me this is a much better way to for suits to bonused instead of the way they are now and it would allow players to pick and choose what suit is best for what situation. The generic bonuses on our suits now only limit our choices and we should think about the future of the game because as it stands now there is no way to introduce new suits without adding a completely new skill.
I am not a game designer, I am not some pro 1337 fps player so all of my ideas should be looked over and criticized by professionals and players to try to figure out what is best for each suit. I look forward to the comments that follow. Be gentle.

This is how I expected the game to be with each suit having a different model. 20-30 suits for each race just like ships in eve.
So I like it +1 |

Agreed.
Bonuses should be tied to the suits, not the skill. |

Same here, I am disappointed in the suits and it is the biggest letdown of DUDT514, that and no market. I hope they change how suits work and how bonuses are handed out.

I am thinking of doing something like this for each race but finding the names and trying to think of worthwhile bonuses is difficult and time consuming. I may do Min next, I think they would be the most fun because of the way they fight.

So I like it +1 That was the plan. Each suit would get it's own assault, logistics, scout, pilot, sentinel, and commando suit models, all different. Then CCP ran out of time (or got lazy) and decided to do color coding. They said the color thing was going to be temporary until they can get more time to design the visuals for each suit role, but I have a feeling they've turned back on that.

I don't give a flying F about colors, suit polygon count, textures or anything like that. I care about fun and being able to fit a suit that compliments how I play or want to play. If I want to get fluffed I will play COD or BF or what ever other FPS lets me shoot the same M-16 as every other game using the same gear as every other game while dressed the same as every other "1337" player that plays. I want lots of different suits that do different things and allow for better tear extraction not colors and some can looking things on my legs.

Good ideas, I like that you gave the Amarr their rightful armor resistance bonus instead of reps (except the basic light frames).
