Anybody else find that Dust causes one to rage within so hard you feel like you might just ******* put a foot through your TV, I'm starting to think this game has caused me some issues i might need to get help with. I'm not even sure its the game but the players themselves that really make my blood boil, How do you contain the rage? and how angry have you found yourself whilst playing this game? |

Muting Comms after it is clear I'm making an @ss of myself.
While waiting on the game to be playable again I've used old anger to remind myself to not play. Sometimes while reading the forums the urge to give Dust another shot builds up. However waiting for 1.8 (or Fanfest) is probably going to win out.

Congrats you are emotionally invested. Take a chill pill and turn off dust, do something productive or make some food. Watch an episode of a funny series and then hop back on. Meditation works pretty well too.
I have my fair share of rage, like when a rail tank two shots my dropship in 1.2 seconds. It sucks but its just a game, relax brah |

Yes... so very much. But only when I am playing alone.
Joining a Corp was the smartest decision I have ever made in Dust. Whenever I am in a squad, nothing angers me... almost.
When I am playing alone, busying my ass off to help somebody and realizing that 3 blueberries are just sitting by the MCC waiting for the game to finish I wish I could team kill or have the ability to punch people through the screens.
Also when I am hacking and a blueberry just stares at me (he's not even protecting me... just staring).
If I was more rich I'd break stuff during every battle, probably. |

Been there, done that. you want to know the sad part, i'm old enough to know better, i'm a dad for goodness sake, and i'm throwing tantrums like my 4 year old son. I feel silly and its very embarrassing when i sit and think about it. Maybe i am due another break. |

HAHAHAHAHAHA. I hate this. They interrupt your spawn and it takes a half a day before you get on the field again. Sigh.
Hmmm, I guess I do get mad but only when I play to relax. If I play to play then I don't have any issues. Sometimes, a stressful day at work and then playing dust is a bad idea. Other days, I'm drinking wine and eating crackers and cheese while I wait to spawn having a blast.
I play primarily solo so when the team I am on is REALLY bad then I punch out and play diablo 3 and grind out some exp for paragon levels or watch Aqua Teen Hunger Force or make some food or anything but Dust. It takes at least 2 games in a row that are really bad before I psuedo rage quit. |

I don't get mad at many thing especially games because of Pompholyx*(a form of eczema), it sucks. The great thing about games is the off button, if I am not having fun I turn the stupid game off. Raging over a game is like raging over clouds in the sky; pointless.

After about the third or fifth one gone bad, I jump on an alt and just try to get back in the matches with or against them and just troll the **** out of them.
And sometimes, I realize that it's just me making poor decisions and shooting like Michael J. Fox.

Because BF is a child's game that doesn't mean anything. The reason people get mad here is because of the investment of time and the idea that you can't just go out and do whatever you want whenever you want. It takes time and passion to play this game because it is difficult and evokes emotions. BF should have it's picture in the dictionary beside lobby shooter along with most other thoughtless FPSs. I am not saying it takes no skill but losing doesn't hurt like it does here. KDRs is one of the few ways to track performance in other games, you don't have to think about much or take into consideration that you may not be able to buy your favorite suit. I stopped playing those along time ago because the are bland, repetitive, full of children and to be honest not that great. Few have meaningful single player and almost all have pretty much the same inventory of weapons.
The reason you don't throw the controller is because you don't care about the game enough for it to anything but allow you to shoot some punk kids. DUST isn't the best game out but it has a better concept, more in depth and I would wager a better community.

The main reason I raged in this game was the first month. I was used to being on the same level as other players. The fact that I could shoot someone first, hit them with a full half clip of a gun, and then watch as they turn around and waste me with 12 shots aggravated me to no end.
The NPE is the WORST aspect of this game. I pulled about 10 people from my battlefield clan into this game.Only two are left. Me and one other guy.
The other 8 couldn't take the NPE (we also were used to stomping like crazy. 4 Col 100's could destroy a lobby in BF3. Not the same here. Playerbase is smaller, so the Vets are easy to find in this game. Not only that, but once again, the SP difference in 1.1 made trying to keep them here impossible. Makes me sad. I love to play with my Clan. They were half the reason I played BF3)
This games gets much more enjoyable after 10mil SP. That's when academy should end. That, or they need to tiericide. Badly.

I'm pissed sometimes too, but it mainly happens when i get lagged ( and i like to think that's just my ****** connection and it probably is). I'm not throwing the controller, but on the edge of biting my desktop ;) |

I get plenty angry while playing, but I would never break anything, because there's no reason to get angry at the game. There is only reason to be angry at myself, which is why I turn all of my frustrations inwards, and smack myself, which is why I end up bleeding a lot while playing. |

Rage is probably a healthy response to many gaming situations as long as it is not destructive.
It just means you care.
Now, if you throw your DS3 through your TV or kicking your dog, then you might have a problem.
But getting upset because of some idiot blueberry or someone who just sniped you in your beautiful new proto suit means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

This was a great read! I always thought myself a calm rationale person.
But I can't stand getting revived while I'm in the menu or taking a drink (which ends up running down my shirt)
Its like what the f , Dude you didn't see that guy right over their about ten feet away drop me and that other dead body laying next to me! You thought it would be a great idea to pick me up and he is just standing there giggling into his mic saying oh I got a smart one hear. Dude their are two bodies lying here its not safe!
