It is rarely satisfying. Its getting boring as hell. The SP grind is not worth the trouble. I've been here since closed beta this is least fun I've ever had in dust. All the little things I sandbox aren't even doin it for me. I spend more time watching "Desperate Housewives" on Netflix than playin dust.
The biggest load of crap is the new suit bonuses. These are the things they have been working on? The homogenization of all racial and class related bonuses is really a let down. How unimaginative can these guys get? Letting things be FOTM for long enough to lose players is a bad call.
Does any one have any Intel on the games that came out this year? I've spent all my time playing dust haven't had a new game since borderlands 2. I will probably break down and buy a PS4 ahead of schedule. So any peer reviews would be helpful. Thanks |

The new bonuses are a step in the right direction. Aside from a couple of letdowns like the Amarr assault, they're decent.
There is no homogenisation in any of the bonuses. The universal class bonuses look to be better fitting. And finally armour assaults aren't stuck with a shield bonus.
And, of course, these are 'subject to change'.

Maybe take yourself some time off. DUST IS work, but it doesn't have to be. Let your passive accrue and go on hiatus. Check back later, in a less-immersed state of mind and maybe things will be more to your liking. I don't think the "10 year roadmap" hoopla was ever meant to mean "every day/week/month for 10 years". I just quit about 2 weeks ago, and have been playing since the release of open beta (although I'm typically a listener than talker on the forums, as you can see).
My only problem with this game is the lack of real direction and transparency with CCP. After 1.7 being a huge letdown in terms of balancing, additions to the game, etc., I think I finally "clicked" and realized that this game has a lot of potential, with no execution.
I think that CCP is unable to get their **** together, and I have seen all of my favorite corpmates leave in the 3 week break I took. I came to 1.7 late to the party due to work and the family, but what I came to was a deserted game of disappointed gamers.
Many people come on these forums to speak about the "life" the game has, but if everyone took a vote of who actually left, and who stayed, I think most people on these forums would quickly realize that their "game" is dying right in front of their eyes.
Sorry CCP; EVE Online was magnificent, but Dust 514 was like **** hitting a turbine. |

All the bonus DLC on the disk, discounted around Christmas.
Dead Island Riptide was enjoyable. Then again when is Zombie stomping not fun?
Last of Us got some great buzz, haven't touched it yet.
Hold on the next gen game councils until whatever the unknown and hilarious defect is discovered.

Eve Online had just has horribly bad launch from what I recall. Lauded for years and excel in space, people complained it was work as well, and required too much real world skills to get anywhere successful

That's IWS as always: a complete joke of a representative.
He pulls the "I-can't-think-very-well-for-myself-so-let's-make-irrelavent-comparisons" card that projects the success of this game from EVE Online's history, even though the situations are COMPLETELY different in contrast due to different genres, different times, different team of developers... Eh, **** it, I'm tired of trying to rationalize with cretins trying to brainwash other cretins.

Who says you have to? To my knowledge every weapon tech has at least two (light) weapons to choose from apart from projectile weapons but thats why the Minni Commando gets two bonusses:
Rail: Rail Rifles (RR,ARR) and sniper Rifles (TSR,SR,CSR) Laser: Laser Rifle, Scrambler Rifle (SCR,ASCR) Blaster: Shotgun(SG,BSG), Assault Rifle (AR,Breach,Burst, Tac) Projectile/explosive: Combatrifle(CR,ACR) and Massdriver (MD,BMD,AMD)
So to me this looks like a good range to choose from... |

I hope you aren't trolling me/us. Assuming you aren't -
ME3 is ace, God of War:Ascension too, Dishonored is fairly good fun. But for the love of all that is decent and pure....
The Last of Us NEEDS to be played. Just once, on hard, beginning to end in 1 or 2 sessions.
If you see me in the redline, driving an LAV in circles, fear not! Its my two year old son enjoying New Eden.
