Just curious how everyone runs their tanks. The further into 1.7 we get, the more my variety of fits shrinks and shrinks. I run the gunnlogi, and that alone. So I'm very curious about Maddie fits.
So my go to fit, I use a missile, blaster, and a rail.
High Slots-
Shield Hardener Shield Hardener Shield Booster
Low Slots- (Nothing useful for a gunnlogi)
CPU and PG boost
Double hardeners really seem the way to go. I always try to save them until needed. I have fits with each type of turret equipped.
Against a blaster, blaster stands no chance. At least while hardeners are up. If it is just one tank I'm up against, I use my hardeners one at a time. With one hardener up, passive regen works, and reps through any damage they do do. I love this fit though(it is OP). One blaster tank is hardly a challenge though. I've had multiple engagements against 2 to 3 tanks at a time, and made it out with this fit.
Now 2 to 3 rails is a different story, but if they are running a mix of turret types, and I'm able to engage CQC, I am able to usually take them. Ambush the first one, always a rail, and move on to the next with both hardeners up.
Though like any tank, it struggles against multiple rails, especially damage modded rails. One rail though, with double hardeners up and the booster, is hardly an issue. That is if they are running a damage mod fit like most milita tankers do!! The 2 hardeners plus the booster use is typically enough to force a reload. And if I can't get him before then, I'M A SCRUB.
Really though, I think this is the most effective way to fit tanks. I have had a lot of success with this fit; PC, Factional, and Pubs. And I've come across few people who run a tank like this. But when I do meet one, typically we kinda just stare at each other for a while, maybe ram one another a few times. Then hardeners drop and someone's got to die.
Maddie buster
High
Shield hardener Shield hardener Damage mod
or
Shield booster Shield hardener Damage mod
Low (nothing useful here)
PG and CPU booster
Or
Armor mods if possible
Turret type Missiles
Not much to say about this fit. Missiles are very strong against maddies, and very weak to gunnlogi shields(with a hardener up). The damage mod though makes a huge difference. Most maddies will take nearly 2 clips of missiles, though pop on the damage mod and a lot go down in a single volley. Given all your missiles connect.
I'm a brawler, through and through. I really don't like sitting up in a hill. I like to roam the edges of the map scanning out other tanks. I do sit and snipe with my rails from time to time, but that is more for PC practice than anything.
Hardeners though, at this point in time, seems to be the way to go. I started out running nitro, with my fits, but the hardeners and boosters seem to give far more durability than the speed boost. Though I am planning on trying nitro out again.
Curious to see how others fit for success. I'm very interested in learning if there is anyone out there that uses nitro or Extenders on their gunnlogi. Shield Extenders seem very pointless, and noobish, in this new iteration of tanks.
