So. Lately I've been playing with AV more. Usually gotta get tanks out of the field or scare a dropship pilot into flying away. While scaring them away does help deter many tanks, at times it's still not enough. If someone's dedicated, they will continuously use their vehicle to gain dominance and more than likely, will have certain modules that keep them in the battle longer and currently as long as they want. We have no Anti-HAV vehicles nor do our light AV weapons really help much with dropships.
So. My question is, would AV-Classed Dropsuits be viable? If so, with what specs?
Personally, I believe they could be if:
- They're light frame dropsuits
- Considered specialized suits
- Have a 50% dropsuit bonus to AV-Classed Weapon Damage
- Have a higher price than other suits
- 1-3 Equipment Slots depending on racial variant
- High Passive Stats specifically focused on AV with certain aspects differing with racial variants
- Each Racial Variation gets a bonus to their Racial AV-Equipment
Sure, they'd be extremely effective against tanks to the point where they could 1v1 a militia HAV but at the same time they're extremely vulnerable to all kinds of fire due to the low e-HP that light-frame suits are known for and then there's the cost which would mean that it can't be spammed just like HAV can't(shouldn't) be spammed.
>.> I mean tankers gonna QQ about it despite both sides having extreme advantages over the other but that doesn't matter since.

Does AV really need a higher price?
Current AV fits range anywhere between 150-215k ISK, with a guarantee of at least 3-4 deaths.
And that 50% bonus seems way too large.

I've been wanting an AV light suit.
Give it two light weapons so it can still be somewhat useful when there are no vehicles in the area.
Two light weapons won't be too powerful because the suit still has low eHP and doesn't get the stealth and won't be too useful in normal combat ranges.

Would be nice . Give it two grenade slots or maybe not .
Future Caldari Heavy so watch out for this Sumo Shinobi with a Caldari HMG .

I thought it would need a higher price due to consumption issues. No one wants to be spammed on either side. But I guess if it already is the price the can be a tad bit higher with a damage bonus between 15%-25%.
I believe the issue is right now, that AV fits aren't actually that viable. If we really had official AV fits, it would make since for such prices to be too damn high on these AV-fittings made on non-AV purposed dropsuits.
I believe we would have to find a balance that makes it so that while the AV-Dropsuits are higher in price than other dropsuits in it's light weight class, when you're fitting modules it's much cheaper since everything is built in, effectively making it smarter for AV-players to use these specialized AV Dropsuits.
