CCP when you guys desighed these SI what were their intended purpose? they look cool and stuff but they just dont feel like they serve any prupose other than a place to fight. the interior spaces dont look like research labs, doors dont work, the roadblocks dont work, and this really effects the imersive experiance. the places we are fighting ovef need to look like people work there and use the structures for some practical purpose, that means more dynamic elements added to the maps, more things like holo-screens, openable and closable door ways, elevators, cloning vats, more interior spaces, and tunnles. |

agreed. Levels look nice but seem very static.
Like the whole purpose and design is built around merc battles.
Doors and elevators would be cool.

they arn't done yet.

Considering they're struggling with the technical limitations of last-gen technology, I think all this won't be done under the current platform. Destructible environments would be nice too - I remember at the last fanfest someone mentioned this but they said "space concrete is very tough", and the crowd replied "space guns are very strong too" |

im not woried about destructability its the deatails and lack of dynamics, none of the compounds orother smaller SI's look like people work at them let alone need to fight over them |

They are struggling to get the static stuff to be performant. More flora and dynamic elements are low on the priority list right now.

I was happy they bothered to give us the purpose behind each of the structures in the dev blog. Even if we couldn't perform security scans on vehicles, fiddle with the dials on the reactors or launch packages into space.

The maps now are currently still stuffed up, like certain walls make you glitch like a muff fka... How are you expecting them to create these things.

I'll hold them too this after they get all content and PvE in. Iv yet to see a planet that looked like it was worth fighting for.
I'd say walk in my shoes for a day, but you probably still won't understand.

Could you just imagine if road blocks worked and could close off objectives. So if a team wanted their tanks in the battle they had to fight the controls but left the tanks open without support?
Lights flashing inside stations of intruders. A master control station that would only open doors and elevators for your team until the enemy hacked central control. Forcing your enemy to take the ever dangerous stairwells. Calling up static defenses like turrets in the walls to aid in the battle.
Have missions were you need to protect escaping civilians to waiting transports while the enemy team is trying to stop the launch.
If I'm fighting for Sansha Nation, Serpentis or another pirate faction let out armor change colors. Or allow us to collect patches after working so much for one faction. Not just the 4 empires as we are Mercenaries and not all of us care about what happens to the Empire. We are Empyreans now as the Empress so kindly put it. Let us fight for a faction more than just "Attacker: Sansha Nation" or anything else. Give us that immersion. Let our actions of who we fight for limit our eventual ability to work with other groups opposed to them.
New Eden is shades of grey, not black and white. Give us that option to chose which shade of grey we are going to fight for. I see so much potential in this game as I love the Eve IP, but in its current state is just so unappealing. |
