Many things in our life **** us off...but what has pissed you off the most or the longest?
For me, the longest thing I have ever hated was my name....not the it sounds bad- I mean...yeah it-...it's the fact that it's MISSPELLED!!!
Alright...calm and collected....okay....my last name is supposed to be "Bel-Fas", if you reverse the onomatopoeia and translate it, it's supposed to mean beautiful face, now isn't that wondeful? Such a lovely last name!
But then...those fucks at the immigration office effed my name up...and I've been stuck with it ever since....Beflas......

I like it. Feels nice on the tongue. I pronounce it "Beh-Flay", without the s.
Kind of dislike the fact that my personalities don't ask permission before taking over my conscious self. Really rough especially in public.

Those damn noobs always using buffed miltia that can drop a proto heavy in second Then sending you mail saying some jackass-ish remark on how he is better than you, damn noobs And the fact that my rival is not as honorable as my pet vulture's claw, just another jackass and he knows that he just screws up my local Chat and has the IQ of a howler monkey Other then that not very much annoys me except taking my pills every day so I don't kill everything I see including cliffs Yes, I have killed a cliff

What sets me off the most is that the vast majority of new recruits have little to no knowledge of the art of warfare, yet are graduating from their respective programs. I don't mind helping them out with donations and sharing what I know, but come on why would you think blue means hostile and red is friendly if only the reds are shooting you?
I'm not so angry about their incompetence directly as much as I'm wondering how they managed to pass their exams without even knowing what a supply depot does.

((this actually happened!!!!!!!)) I've found that many of our new academy graduates are struck hard by suddenly becoming infomorphs. I've seen them take weeks to months before they truly become comfortable and capable in their new cloned bodies. Some of the more hardened, experienced veterans we recruit to our ranks make the conversion much quicker, but I've seen almost everyone stumble without help from the rest of us.
What pisses me off is that all of the major vehicle manufactures decided that 'Push to Start' was better than a fracking wetware lock. We're mercenaries, I spent my isk on that vehicle, I want to lock the dadgum thing.

((this actually happened!!!!!!!)) LOL that was me in closed beta for half a match, and I raged saying WTF I'm on your team then I relised the blue's fire didn't hurt me just put damage indicaters on my suit's inside screen when the red's fire would be able to kill me
Now I am still terrible at how I react to damage, TURN AND FIRE... of wait he's friendly, don't get used to it I guess

Whenever someone steals your shoe, specifically your left shoe, and hides it somewhere, just before a battle. It's not only an inconvenience, but it is just outright dangerous. I mean, what if the atmosphere is corrosive to flesh? What if the ground is covered in gravel or sharp rocks?
What if someone else finds the shoe and sells it to some guy in Everyshore? That was a good shoe, I had to go all the way to low-sec Placid to get it.

Well, it depends what suit you use. Only the assault version has that hydra-membrane that drills into your spine *shudders*

The sort of principled idealists who end up becoming monsters for no better reason than because it's either that or admit that their goals were unrealistic to begin with.
Examples:
* Peacemakers who end up joining Sansha's Nation.
* Anarchist terrorists.
* The smarter sorts of Templis Dragonaur, U-Nat, or other hyper-nationalist partisan.
Also, I really get bothered by people who think working with the Sani Sabik is a good means to any end other than strengthening the Sani Sabik and by people so extreme and stupid that they make their own otherwise-valid causes hard to support-- not because I'd necessarily support those causes, but because it's so painful to watch. |

Heh. Well this is awkward.
Which makes for an interesting transition into my peeve: Being called a halfbreed. I've earned the right to be considered full Caldari, and I expect others to respect that. Hell. I'm probably a better Caldari then some teenage business yuppie toiling away his existence in The Forge.

And yes, the Caldari do tend to be hard on those of us from ... mixed backgrounds. Not that our genetic origins matter much anymore. |
